ID Help- South Australian find
    #4775169 -

I found these growing in my local area. I believe that they are the same species at different maturities. Being my first time out mushroom hunting, I am interested in identifying them. Research on the Internet gave me the impression that they could be Psilocybe australiana, however, the gills do not appear to be dark enough. Any help would be very much appreciated.

* Habitat: Adelaide, South Australia. Found amongst damp wood chips, in a sandy soil.

* Characteristics of the gills
Creamy, slightly yellow gills. Gills are fairly widely spaced.

* Characteristics of the stem
Stem is approximately 3mm in diameter. Fibrous, hard to tear and solid.

* Characteristics of the cap
Refer to photograph for best description. Units of scale are cm.

* Spore print color:
Several attempts at obtaining spore prints were unsuccessful. I will post any results should I obtain any in the near future.

* Color that the mushroom bruises:
Stem bruises to a dark blue/black on excessive handling. I did not notice any bruising to the cap.

* Scent of the mushroom:
I didn't notice any.

As a wild guess (no spore print), I'd guess that those are Marasmius, in which case they'd have a white (or very nearly white) spore print.

Happy mushrooming!
