This is a mushroom I've been wondering about, but haven't been able to id. A very long slender stem, purple brown/black spore print, viscid gelatinous pellicile. It does not appear to bruise blue. I'm in southcentral Alaska. Any Ideas ?
See if you can get some close-up pictures of the gills, and then split the stem down the middle and take a picture of that. What are they growing out of? What are they growing around? I personally won't be able to ID this, but I think this info should help the experts out there. Beautiful, truly beautiful mushroom by the way, and nice pictures!

The pictures are coming up pretty small for me, and its hard to view what the actual mushrooms look like.
A few questions:
What do the gills look like? What is it growing from? What kind of debris if its growing off that. Is there a veil? Whats the diameter of the cap, and length of the stem? Is the stem thick or hollow? Whats the temperature that they are growing in?
Interesting find, Im not too sure on what it is. I dont think its a Psilocybe...however, I really am not sure!
