What is a good brand name computer?

I'm looking to spend 2 grand on a computer (I'm not going to build one from scratch). What is a good brand name computer? Dell? I'm getting mixed opinions on everything.

Please don't buy a brand name computer. They are ALL garbage. If you need help on picking parts let me know, customs are alot cheaper and better.

Why not build one?....If you spend 2 grand on one you build yourself, you can get a hell of a computer.

Of course you dont have to spend anything near that to get a great built computer.

Dell is your best best. Good computers backed with some of the best customer support around. (for the industry, that is)

buy a mac, you won't have to deal with viruses and adware shit or the plethora of other problems that plague shitty windows OS systems.

You won't run into these problems on a DOS based computer running a Mozilla browser, I use these at work + home and have never have popups, or viruses.

Internet Explorer on the other hand is total shit, and will cause you tons of problems.

i've bought dells, the computers are trash and customer support is even worse. IBM is the way to go since you've got plenty of funds

HP. I've had my HP for 5 years and the only thing that fried was the hard drive which was replaced free of charge, shit, they even gave me a bigger hd. I can't believe this pc is still working after 5 years.
