Blotter brand names
    #1343633 -

Thought it might be fun to get a list of all the different blotter acid "brand names". Two from my past that come right to mind are:
Gooneybird
Blue Unicorn

does anyone here collect blotter art?

The only blotter I've had with art on it was known as Angel AKA Libra acid.
It had an angel on one side and the scales of Libra on the other... this was 2001 I believe.

Hmmm. All of my names are from around thirty to thirty-five years ago. Does that count?

Green bullfrog (best acid I've ever had, by a LONG shot)
Yellow Toad
Strawberry Fields
Starlight
Fritz the Cat
Mr Natural (Keep on Truckin')
Texas Star

Most of the rest of them were just solid color -- red, white, (for a while around '72 there was a LOT of EXCELLENT white blotter), windowpane (actually a gel, I guess), blue cheer -- there was more but I forget.

pinky

I have a little bit. My best is a tenpack of fractals signed by Ken Kesey and a tenpack of Leary's head  signed by Tim leary. There is still Kesey blotter art available from his family website I believe. Incase anybody's interested.

As far as listing different print's of blotter I'm not even going to try. My brain start's throwing sparks just thinking about it. This list will no doubt be up in the thousand's. There's alot of different print's from the 30 year's or more that blotter has been around

I'll probably always do drugs, so that just contributes to the addiction to The Shroomery... It's a vicious circle of bliss. :tongue2:

I guess it'll be interesting to see what happens if the package gets opened at Customs though

I guess this has probably been asked a thousand times before, but here I go:

Anyone know what kind of card/paper stock to buy if you want to make you own blotter art - I guess I'm talking thickness of paper/card and how would one go about making the perforations etc. before printing?

hi friend,
I believe blotter art is mostly made using watercolor paper. thickness is pretty much left up to you (usually blotter art is pretty thick I think)....... Usually I believe the printing is on an offset press
and can also be perforated using machine perforating thingys where you set the wheels the specified distance apart..........

Basically you are going to have to have a print shop work with you on this. Obviously they probably won't take you on unless you want at least 500 of the same design printed up. A higher number would make more sense and be more economical.

I'm sure other people on here know more about this stuff then me though.
