Colonization Question

I've noticed that AFOAF's jars are colonizing very slowly.. they got to about 80% and then slowed considerably... is this common?

Tip the jars over and let the cake fall so there's a space between the bottom of the cake and the jar.... Tip them back over after a day or so. Works for me....
