goo in birdseed

i started a batch yesterday after reading about this problem..so i took a beaker big on the bottom small at the top filled half ful and started rinseing.... ended up taking like 10 minutes to get all the brown color out of the top half of water ...maybe try that.. there was a mass load of some sort of shit on the seed..iv also had madd problems with the goo... hope this helps.. the beaker size is like a 1000 m/l

A lot of birdseed is coated with vitamins and stuff for the birds... pennington finch seed has it, I think they call it "bird kote" or something like that. Rinsing that off and not having too much water should keep you from getting the goo.
