The Joys of Full-Auto
    #4732003 - 09/29/05 01:57 PM (18 years, 6 months ago)

I'm not sure where a thread like this would go, I just wanted to announce that a few friends of mine got together today for our monthly "Full-Auto" day.  Some of our clients and students came out to watch as we used every automatic firearm we could scrape together.  One of my close friends is an ex-CIA agent who is now a Class 3 FFL. He brought out a few BARs, a few M16's, some HKMP5's (SDK model, integrated silencer), an Uzi, and a fully automatic Glock pistol.  We did demonstrations with them all day long and then had a cook out.  Nothing says "manly man" like 5 BARs shooting downrange at full auto with bright orange and yellow tracers

MP5SDK's are pretty hard core. All they are good for is CQB, but they are great for that. One of the M4's we were shooting had a HALO silencer on it. That was some serious awesome.

Not as quiet as the MP5, but still quite. I'd say at 250-300 yards, your  comrades wouldn't even hear the shot that made your brain turn into a vapor cloud

Most ex-CIA agents are still in contact with the agency. Some of the agents are super-linguits that speak four languages and sit in an office all day reading intel transcripts, and some of the ones that I've met I'd be willing to bet are basically government hitmen. When the demonstration finished at 3, I invited some of them back to my house to talk and catch up on old times. I lit up a joint and those that wanted to partake, partook, those that didn't just smiled and said no thanks.

The members of law enforcement who ARE Allowed to practise in the US are the rudest assholes I've met. One of them claimed to be a RO (Range Officer) down at Quantico, so he didn't want to follow MY range rules at the company I was working for. I tore him up and down and kicked the whole group off. Fuckin Bunch of Idiots.

The CIA does have some underhanded people working there. Back when I did unarmed combat training at FLETC, I could tell who the CIA types were because they USUALLY ended a "move" by killing the person. Disarming is one thing, disarming and sticking the guy with his own knife is another. Most cops didn't even think of doing it, but some guys did.

No, I'm saying the CIA is an international terrorist organization. And one of the best funded, at that.

Funny how all the related threads at the bottom are about love when this is a thread about guns and killing.

Guns aren't just for killing. I shot 5,000 rounds today and didn't kill one thing.

Also, the CIA is very wellt rained and well funded. I was told by an agent that they probably get 3-4x as much funding as they report, through all sorts of slush funds hidden in other bills.

where did the $ you spent on the ammo go? what did they use that $ for?

i'm playing devil's advocate. i am a gun owner and advocate gun ownership. i'll be firing my new Browning (Beretta made) pistol this very afternnon.

i still feel guilty every time i pay for ammo. it is equivalent to pouring fuel directly into the war machine.

Not that I've really discussed it with them, and noone I know has come out and said that was their job, but I know well enough that a few of them do things like that.

I think that a lot of them are ex-military personnel, as you said. The CIA uses special operations forces to help with a lot of their foreign policy actions. If you were a real hard-hitting ground pounder and your CIA controller saw that, you might get referred to other jobs. You'd probably be better working as a hitman for MOSSAD or some Israelie organization, they seem to have even less care for international law than the USA does.

I'm not sure if the type of person exists who just sits around sipping fine wine, reading classic masterpieces and listening to classical music, then gets a call and sets a price for a hit. Most of them are probably just on the CIA payroll making 80-100K a year and they get told what to do and they do it.

The best way to get into it would be to join the military and get into the special forces. Then get a degree in some science plus a necessary foreign language. Some form of Arabic or Spanish would be your best bet. People in special forces that are about to "retire" have all sorts of contacts.

The war machine? I don't think that Remington or Federal or Winchester care if we are at war or not, if we are they make a LOT of money selling ammo to the government, if we aren't, they still make a lot of money. It's not like my purchasing of ammo went to fund an invasion.
