We could also redivert all the gas and oil going to Canada to the US

What do you mean "going to Canada"??

We produce all of our own oil, silly, then we send half of what we produce south to the US. That's how much oil we have :evil:

Oil is most certainly a high one in the benefit category. Another ~2.5 billion barrels a day. Production is supposed to rise to ~4 billion per day by 2015 if I recall correctly.

Indeed. And if we enslaved all the Canadians, that would quite a lot more oil available not only for the market, but from the exploiting of all the areas in Canada itself.

If I was elected President, Canada would be owned as quick as possible. Sadly, we keep electing the same bland idiots who do everything almost exactly the same.

Now in all seriousness, if the US did invade Canada it would most likely spell the end of ANY allies for the US on this planet.

Look how many enemies the US has made by invading a backwards country like Iraq, run by a brutal dictator that no one liked in the first place....can you imagine the backlash if the US invaded a country that is neither a dictatorship nor disliked by, well, pretty much anyone not American?

I'm pretty sure such an action would be seen along side such events as the German invasion of Poland...and we all know where that little idea lead.

People may not like it, but no one's going to fuck with America. They'd bitch at us, but how many missiles are going to be hitting Washington? Any attacks on America would be the beginning of World War 3 as hydrogen bombs fell from the sky like snowflakes, and no one would risk that over Canada.

Perhaps not, but they wouldn't hesitate to risk it if their own soverignty was under threat. They would have MUCH to fear of a country willing to invade and enslave a peaceful nation.

Wait...didn't that already happen before? Oh that's right...that whole Poland thing...

Germany didn't stop at Poland, and if they went so far the US wouldn't stop at Canada. Everyone knows this. Russia knows this. China knows this. Neither of them has a great deal of love for America.

Iraq is a country in the Middle East with HUGE oil reserves that everyone wishes they could have. Of course there is going to be a stink about it.
Not only that, the American people(and the international community) were lied to in order to garner support for the war. In the case of Canada I would hope the administration would come out and say "Canada has some things we want, and having it as a soverign nation is a risk to our security.".

The concern for allies would pass quickly once we owned all of Canada's oil reserves. Notice how Europe ass-kisses the Mid-Eastern terrorists that they buy oil from? Now we'll be in the same posiiton.
