Re: The Gash [Re: OneMoreRobot3021]
    #4678737 -

sorry but somebody had to do it...

Is that gash in your leg really why you have stopped?
Cause I've noticed, all the others,
Though they're gashed, they're still going.
Cause I feel like the real reason
That you're quitting and admitting that You've lost all the will to battle on.

Will the fight for sanity be the fight of our lives?
Now that we've lost all the reasons that we thought that we had.

Still the battle that we're in
Rages on till the end
With explosions, wounds are open,
Sights and smells, eyes and noses,
But the thought that went unspoken
Was understanding that you're broken...
Still the last volunteer battles on,
Battles on...

:smirk: THat's definitely the reference I was going for.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Why would you hide scars? They always end up being good stories to tell people how you got them.

What a great story. I was so drunk I fell on my face and split my cheek open and I don't even remember it.

At work today he's telling his coworkers that he got stranded on Staten Island without Cab Fare after the last ferry back to manhattan stopped running, and got cut by a mugger, and then was chased all down the island and ended up barely sleeping in a landfill until morning when eh finally made his way to a hopsital.

I came up with that one.

I fell on my face in a bar parking lot while sprinting after my friend for some stupid reason.  I landed ear-first and then my chin and elbows followed.  Ugh, that was ugly.  Sometimes, stupid shit happens
