Looks fine to me. Something I'd just shrug at and predict 2 weeks of healing time from the moment it happened. Graphic pic lol I was expecting you like holding your intestines or something haha.

that's nothing. stitches are generally unnecessary and largely for cosmetic purposes. butterfly that shit for a few days, tops, then let it heal. also, tea tree oil, salt, and warm water

yeah, thanks everyone. I thought the butterfly bandages might cause dirt within the wound before it heals.

Super glue is the trade worker's band-aid. The shit gets used every day. Probably not very healthy but it definitely works. It can also be really uncomfortable though.
OP, that honestly looks like something I would ignore entirely.

Yeah, I might cover it with a bandaid to stop blood getting on my clothes.
People, you'll know when you need to get stitches. You won't need to ask, and you won't think twice.

i ignored a puncture before and thought i could just bandage it up with duct tape and paper towels. Had to get a bunch of puss squeezed out(painful) and got stitches. then i had to do the puss thing again(more painful) because i'd lost my anti-biotics. they were nice enough to give me more but told me if i lose em again i'm losing my arm.

i'm sure they wouldn't let that happen though...

Your hygiene may be an issue. Did you clean the wound or just toss some bacteria coated papertowels and duct tape on it?
A puncture is kind of different I'd assume, being a deeper wound and more prone to infection.

yea it was a pretty long split and a deep wound. by the second day i could see what looked like fat swelling outwards.
I avoided the hospital cause i was on the run. i also didn't really feel it till it got real bad because drugs. The puncture was caused by a "glassicle" that fell into my wrist while i was trying to take glass pieces out of the perimeter of a broken window. it was about 11 inches long and i don't know how deep it went but it was enough that it stood up on it's own and i had to pull it out.
i may have some pics somewhere but i think that phone got fried.

Ah, yeah..not exactly a scrape.

punctures are entirely different, especially if in a place that is not easily soakable. one of the main factors determining chance of infection with a puncture is how much (or little) it bleeds immediately afterwards, as well as the actual depth of the puncture.

Stitches are overrated...Chicks dig scars hahaha
You look fine man, no need for stitches and prob was too late for them anyways since it looks like it was healing and not very deep anyways. Ive only had them once when I sliced the tip of my index finger off. Alot of other times it was superglu or duct tape hahahaha

That wound looks a couple days old. Doesn't look infected. You should just let it be at this point. The healing has already begun and messing with it will make the scarring worse.

I was doing yard work in sandals and manage to walk right into that pitchfork. One of the sprongs went between my toes and penetrated about an inch in before it hit a bone. I washed the hole out with the hose, sprayed some lidocaine on then squirted hydrogen peroxide in with a syringe to get the dirt out. Fortunately the hole was in a place that it was naturally kept closed, so I didn't need stitches. It was petty sore for a few days but there was no infection.
Peroxide isn't really an antiseptic in the same way as iodine or alcohol. The real benefit of peroxide is that blood has an enzyme that decomposes peroxide into water and oxygen. When you put it on a wound all those little oxygen bubbles scrub the wound clean of debris.
