^YEP.  Jay, I don't think you realize what you're getting into.  I support you 100% , but Iraq is HELL on earth!  It's crazy that a Shroomerite who is against the war goes to fight it while those in favor of it stay at home.  :confused:

I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm trying to save you from wasting a bunch of time.

Do you realize you'll have people screaming in your ear for the entire day, insulting you while you do physical tasks that are more straining than you've ever done in your life, while you're covered in a bunch of slop, cold and wet, with all the muscles in your body are in severe pain?

You better be in the best shape of your life with rippling muscles all over your body.

If you can make it through the Marines boot camp, then you will shatter all expectations.

Kids going to boot camp are usually the physically fit, strongest kids, straight out of high school, with minds like blank slates and wills ready to be tempered by extreme physical and mental challenges. If you can run hundreds of miles with these kids, do thousands of push-ups, learn how to kill like a machine, all within harsh, ego-killing military training, then you'll come out a much stronger individual.

Or, you may fail. Neither way is necessarily assured yet.

Brainwashed, perhaps, but stronger nonetheless. It takes a hefty dose of brainwashing to be able to kill on command, but in all he'll be more prepared for life because of it.

The way I see it killing a human being isn't anything more than killing an animal. Humans are animals, therefor there's no difference.

You picked the marines, so you are definitely going the rough route in the military. You need to really want to be a marine. You will be an infantrymen...the tip of the spear/crack troops sent to seek and destroy.

What is your physical fitness training regimen like?

Did you sign into MEPS yet? If so, did you admit to drug use?
