Larger yields?

Hey you guys, It's been a while since I've posted. I finally birthed 6 cakes of the Gulf Strain and tried them out yesterday. Me and some buddies ate a gram each and it was unlike anything else. These were the nices..most potent mushrooms I have evr tried. But this is also my first time growing and consuming my own mushrooms. Anyway my questions to you guys is, how could I increase the size of the mushrooms my ckaes yield? I am receiving medium flushes but the mushrooms are very small. I believe I have the proper humidity...the perlite in the fruiting chamber is moist, the cakes are hydrated...I have dunked and rolled all of them. I air it out more than 6 times a day and they get 12 hours of light. is there anything that I could do...or not do? Thanks you guys. Peace.

Time to move to casings. Cakes are only gonna get so big. Fig the average dry yield from a pf cakes is 6 to 9 grams dry total.

Magash I love your thinking, we are actually also doing a bulk cultivation but my friends are taking care of it cause I had to leave :( But I am going to get it abck and watch over it next week. I just hope it's okay. But the size of these mushrooms is tiny..but they are GOOD! Anyway, thanks.

Your yields are small because you're using cakes. There isn't much of a nutritional base to draw from there, hence the small mushrooms. Move up to spawning to tubs of poo at a depth of 3-4", and there's where the monsters come in.

Thanks. I know that cakes produce small yields.. and maybe this stain has really small yields. However, judging by many pics that I have seen these are REALLY small. Holydivcer I am also doing a tub spawned with horse poo/straw at the depth of 6-8 inches. Thanks for the help Peace.

It's all good, you should see pictures of my first few cakes. They really sucked. Too bad I can't find the pics right now.

Yeah send them over, it would make me feel better. I mean I don't really care cause I grew them and I'm proud and their potencey is pretty intimidating [not to poo]. But to regard of anything that I have ever bought these are th emost potent and I only tried one gram! But I love pics so if you find them send them my way. Thanks!
