Strain with the Greatest Yield?

Which strain has the greatest yield? Is the potency quite weak for this mushroom? What's a good shroom for a medium, or a bit to the larger yield side?

Size is depenent on the type spawn, the spawn ratio, the substrate used, optimal casing mix (& ph), as well as optimal growing conditions. A cube is a cube = potency wise--IMHO.

the S.A. "South American". this is a very under rated mushroom. high yeilds, large fruit and a solid stem make this one a true Winner...IMHO

Ok for the highest yeilding strain... Treasure Coast! Ya thats right TC's There a slow strain though and i don't really recommend them as there stubborn pinners even on compost/dung. They do yeild the heaviest though imo... Thai Lipa Yai, Mexi/Palenque, and Ecuador round down the others! just my opinion... Mexi/Palenque for speed of colonization and fruiting on compost~they take da cake

Cube aint a cube - the difference between potency or alkaloid content of different spore races of cubensis is documented fact (Stivje and DeMeijer 1993). SOme cubes use their substrates better - most cubies can do that from a good isolate, but tasmanians, lipa yais and the mexican strains are consistant performers from multispore innoculations (syringes)

I just posted a thread that pretty much had the same question. Which strain produced the most yields. I might give those South American's a try Roadkill! Does Cambodians produce high yields?

I don't disagree you. But, feel one can take a wee bit more (dry) if whatever you have is a bit on the weak side, or a little bit less - if it is on the ass kicker side. In that respect, a cube is a cube.
Like pot, with some it takes 1 or 2 tokes, with others it takes 5 tokes. Generly, with good P. Cube strains, adjusting the dose a bit makes up any differance.

Different strains provide different trips and inhearantly differnt feelings ie speedy/energetic, slow, warm, mindfuck, heavy body load, more visual, less visual, high anxiety feeling, some strains also come on quicker than others, like Ks comes on hard and fast and stay constant througout the duration where as Ecuador comes on more in waves of intensity and seems to get stronger and stronger till it peaks then drops off slowly. Different strains produce different physical and mental effects, the weed example was used to say that different kinds of weed while some being stroinger they also have very different highs. Some have a heavy druged out feeling, some have a light and uppy feeling, the highs are noticable different. Think thats what wa implied by most folks

In my personal experience i have noted consistant potency differences between cubensis spore races in terms of yield, size, potency ratios - and to some extent also different experiences from bioassays. It is true that the differences betweem cubensis races are minute when compared to the difference between say ps.Stuntzi and Ps.Azurescens or Ps.Cubensis and Panaeolus Cyanescens. At the end of the day tehre is a reason why the mexicans never used cubies for their ceremonies...

my largest yield ever was from PRs, but they're a bit temperemantal. the most consistently large yields I have got from Cambodian.

Ive been eating hawaiians lately and there a complete mindfuck to say the least. I feel retarted; like I have no brain when I come down off of them. Very nice body buzz but no visuals. I think the pr's produce a nice trip.

The Ecuadorians were really intense for me, almost a sick/drunk feeliing (every time we took them). Mazatapecs were nice and speedy. Most of the strains were equally psychoactive from our experiences, they just had a different little tweak in the type of buzz they would give you. I'll entertain the kind bud metaphor from earlier posts. That's a good idea IMHO. The Ecuadorians were definitely too intense for this camper. It's funny how sometimes you can tell 'sherms are intended to be poisons for certain animals.

In theory all cubs grown on the same amount and type of substrate will produce the same exact amount of mushrooms because mass cannot be created or destroyed in an ordinary chemical reaction.

Depends on growing conditions. Depends on substrate formula. Depends on Quality of the spores too.

In what theory? All the mushroom cultivation literature demonstrates otherwise. Stamets suggests that only two out of three spore matches are even capable of fruiting at all, and of the two that can, only one in nine are considered to contain the genetics that should fruit the mushroom at its best.

"I used to dose exclusively on PFC.. I miss them too.. they provided the best mind fucking I've had.. not that many visuals however. Hawaiians produced lots of visuals for friends and myself, yet less of the mind fuck. Mixing the two strains together was also pleasurable." - SWIM
