Direction for cake after birth

Which end of the cake should be placed facing upwards after birthing ? does it matter what side ? what if pins form near one end ? should the end with pins be on top or bottom? Thx for any and all help that you can provide , have a good thanksgiveing I hope everyone had there fill of shrooms and other great foods today ;-) peace.

It doesnt really matter but I put the dry verm layer downwards at first and then flip it. Just my personal prefrence.

go with the verm layer down, and put it right on the damp perlite or verm. I would just leave them like that. I'm not sure but i think gravity(and light) tells them wich end is up and fliping them over too much might confuse them.
