time, thought, and spliting dimensions

i have had a few (most of my trips) strange experiences while using psychedelic drugs. on one occasion i looked at the clock as i turned on some music.i relaxed and sang along with about 5 of my favorite songs. it was at least a good 30 minutes worth of music. i get up to change the track and notice only about 2 minutes had passed on the clock. i thought it must have been the clock but when i looked again it was only 2 minutes passed. i thought it was odd and wondered how all my clocks could be right.. ohh yeah i was tripping.
when on shrooms i have had times when time stood still. everything fell dead silent except the music which turned into this tunnel flange sound. everything around me was frozen.
this has happened several more times on several more trips. sometimes when i really get into what i am doing art wise or something creative i notice the music will play several tracks, then looking at the clock only a few minutes have passed.
i always wonder how this happens. does anyone else get this.
i also have experiences where i "Shift dimensions". that is the best way to describe it. at times i get so focused on one thing (on psychedelics) that i forget everything around me and i fade into another dimension. the hardwood floors that were once there are replaced with blackness or stars. millions of galaxies floating around infinite space. i never bothered to step out into this fearing it would all fade away if i distracted myself for even a moment. when i come back from where i have been i find myself right back where i started, usually with a 20"x24" intricate sketch reflecting all aspects of my life and thoughts.
at one point i became so focused on what i was doing that the room faded around me, much like gasoline vapors. i was in infinite blackness, then blue hieroglyphs formed an electrical language everywhere i looked. as i looked around my new surroundings i found myself staring into what looked like what i can only describe as an "alien". it was very alien to me. it wasn't the grey ones you always see on sightings and t-shirts. it had a brownish skin, it was very humanoid in a way, it did have large dark eyes, it even had a tiny nose and a mouth. i was holding on to an object that he was also holding on to. this was something, that while under the influence, i could see and feel. it didn't last too long however, my pop-tarts i put in popped and scared me half to death, and instantly brought me back here.
these things happen under the influence. while on the drug i don't question what i see. i don't question that i can see through my skin and see muscle and blood vessels pumping, but when i come back, this reality starts to kick in. it starts to tell me it is impossible. it tells me it was all just a drug and this isn't possible, otherwise you could do it without the drug. then the next few days come. although i remember my trip perfectly clear, i start to wonder what it is i really saw, is it all in my mind, or could it be something more?
i like to think it is something more then just what our physical minds trap us in every day.
does anyone else get to these points, and pass them, while tripping. do you feel like you can do it without the drug?

some effect combinations are quite impish
the essential psychedellic effect is to extend the duration of fading mind moments.
with no activity the existing scene becomes like a thosand petalled lotus of itself growing in all directions, enthralling but just what it is.

with activity, involvement, more impish things will occur.

yesterday the television (bbc flood report) and hotel room became an enchanted and exalted shrine zooming into more dimensions of itself from all directions of itself (salvinorin induced).

people often experience halos, auras tracers, trails etc. with are all examples of the basic effect of coexisting long fading sensations.
(memories are sensations too)

so yes time stands still or goes backwards (I have watched the hands reverse) while you surf the rippling membrane of mind - the wake of the now spreads - the stretched (entheogenized) reality really contains many now's and you can frolic in those extended waves, or sit in the shrine of many moments spawning. it is all good - staying in the little boat or tripping like a "man overboard" in the wider wake.
