Cold Shocking PF Cakes
    #464046 -

A friend of a friend has some classic PF (MR) cakes colonizing.

Is it possible to cold shock these cakes? Or is it not necessary? Right now it's been 20 days and there are massive pins within the cake already even though its not fully colonized.

Anyway, is it possible to cold shock it, if so, how should it be done?
Remember these are 1/2 pint cakes.

Hi Joker!
This is taken from www.mushmush.nl...
This strain is named after the Mexican village Matias Romero where it was collected. It produces, some smaller, but fat stemmed mushrooms that usualy form in clusters. This strain profits a lot from cold-shocking.

Did you birth the cakes yet?
If not just skrew your lids on and put it in your fridge overnight..~8 hours would do the trick...If you did..I actually don?t know how to keep it sterile[maybe put em back in the jars?]....Just be sure to keep it clean and sterile, since your fridge probably contains a lot of stange germs..[usually they do.]...I actually never used cakes but it should be ~the same as for caseings..
Good luck..
Peace

I don't think you need to cold shock if you are already getting pin invito.

all coldshocking does is induce pinning. If you've already got pins, cold shocking is beyond pointless.
