dude! Check out my new pet!!!
    #4621325 -

I never would have thought that I would ever own a python, but when I saw some people selling little baby Burmese pythons for $30 I couldn't resist!!!

The mom was there, she was albino, and probably about 7 feet long! I'm sure this thing weighed more than I do!

Funny thing is that me and my room-mate didn't find out until after we bought it that it can grow up to 18 feet as a full adult!!!!! But that will take years, and for now it is just a cute baby. And when it starts to get too big to care for I can just sell it for some mucho $$.

Anyways, It's a male, half albino, but it doesn't express those genes. It's probably a little over a foot long, and only two weeks old. We are handling it as much as we can so it is really docile when it grows up.

Definitely the coolest pet I've ever had...

oh, and his name is Monty... yes, like Monty Python... lol...

Yeah, you got a great deal. I am guessing it was someone that bred it instead of a pet store? Looks sweet. You should go back and try and get a female from em at that price. Think they can breed in 2 years. You could make bank.

yeah, but two snakes is a little too much for me.

and trust me, when it starts to get bigger than me, i won't have too many hard feelings about selling it!

yeah, they were breeding them. i would never have spent $150+ on a snake, and thats what price i usually see them for. but hell! i've smoked $30 of weed in two days! why not invest it in a few years of reptilian fun, and sell it for ten times what i paid for it? It would have been stupid NOT to buy it!

I can't wait to feed him. like i said, he's only two weeks old, and he hasn't even had his first meal yet. i tried feeding him when i first got him but he wasn't interested. then the next day the stupid mouse died, so now i have to get a new one...

It will only grow that large if you have a huge tank to put him in.

Watch out what kind of mice you feet him. I had a 5ft python named monty. He died after we fed him this sickly looking rat.

Nice find!!
I love the way albino burmese, like the mom, look. You should check out www.bobclark.com for some interesting, expensive color morphs. While they are unobtainably expensive, they have some very nice pics to look at.

Dont believe ^that^ for a min. Burmese do get big, but its mostly the female that gets really big. Males in captivity generally max out at ?only? 9 to 12 ft. While that sounds like a lot it is quite manageable. GL.

btw, you don't wanna breed from the same clutch, or even the same mother/father. Thats what constitutes inbreeding, and genetic fuck ups.

hardly ever, especially if they are held often enough. I used to have a lot of reptiles, ball python, albino cornsnake, creamsicle cornsnake ( another mutation - similar color to an albino burmese but on a cornsnake) , iguanas, monitor lizards. Good luck with it I kinda got bored with all my reptiles after awhile and stopped keeping snakes after my creamsicle ate the albino and vomited him back up ... grossed me out.

you did get a nice deal on him but remember your gonna use a shitton of cash on mice , eventually rats, and then eventually rabbits / chickens or something about that size =)
