Coco coir

I made a half-asses attempt to find a brick of coconut fiber to use for my casing. All I was able to stumble across was coco fiber basket lining and front door mats.
I don't think the door mats will be a good choice, but what about the basket liners? They're made to line hanging baskets and could be cut to size to fit my casing container..Think this would work?

how i didnt even think of that in my attempts to find coir. I just gave in and ordered 15 bricks (came out to like 34 dollars with S&H) but i think the basket shit would work fine, just really PC that shit though.

If you have a cc and don't mind mail order (coir is used for tons of gardening needs, so there's no need to worry about suspicion) you can find it at any number of online (or retail even, if you have one nearby) hydroponics suppliers, such as www.wormsway.com.

They sell 20# bricks for $20 or so, and they are compressed, so it amounts to a trash can's worth when hydrated.
