How to lace coco coir with nutrients?

How can I "lace" my coco with nutrients so when used in a cake or casing it can contain nutrients for use during growth instead of being plain coco with no nutrients. what if I ground up some rye or millet into a powder then placed in in a pot with some water and then put the coco husk in it to soak for a while would that work? if not what are some other ways to do this? My goal here is to have the coco absorb the nutrients from the rye/millet to make it a source of food for the mushrooms on top of just replacing verm in a cake or used as a casing.

if you lace coco core with nutrients it kinda defeats the purpose of it... its suposed to be non nutritive, if you want to go with something that has nutrients use dung... you will most likely only run into problems trying to add nutrients to coir

He's Right. its supposed to give the mycellium a safe place to fruit. Its like trying to grow a rain forest shrub without the rain forest. Nutrient would only make the mycellium grow above the rain forest.

My coco-coir with nutrient experiment is stalling. The mycelial network grew rapidly, but I wonder if there is sufficient nutrition left for fruiting.
