My First Tattoo

I went a got my first tattoo today. I was pretty nervous, but it ended up going well I would say.

It's the symbol used by my favorite band, Dredg. It is a "arted-up" Chinese symbol for "change" or "chameleon".

I like it. I was so afraid when I went to get it done.

Nicely done tat. Circles are not easy and nor is blackwork. I surmise that part of the symbol is a Scorpio sign?



Every winter or so, I think about getting a tat, haven't gotten one in years though. I'm trying to decide whether to get some celtic on my arm or a certain peice on my back.

I think the top (the cirlce with the dot) is supposed to represent the sun and the bottom represents the moon.

Holy shit. That thing is huge. I'm such a fucking baby, but I didn't flinch of anything. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, though. It felt like getting electrocuted, kinda.

yeah it's kind of like having an annoying hot bee stinger slowly dragging across your skin or something. though it hurts a lot more in some places than others.. like my arms weren't that bad and actually go numb after a while.. but the sternum was just pure horrible pain the entire time.

It's not bad once you get used to it, but once they take it off for a while, and then put it back on your skin, it hurts all over again.

Don't you have the escape button on the back of your knee? I remember that from the gathering. I thought it was sooooo cool.

haha yeah.. I tattooed that one myself :grin:
It doesn't hurt as much when you tattoo yourself either
but it comes out a little fucked up when you are trying to draw on your kneepit :grin:

It was actually all a part of my master plan to have a fully cybernetic leg complete with pistons and hoses but that hasn't really manifested yet :smirk:

All black. Like surreal landscapes. I'm not really sure yet, I plan to have custom art done. Definitely throwin a few shrooms in there.

Awesome. I went with color but I definitely appreciate some quality black work.
I have like.. half-finished short sleeves.


I want to get fully sleeved on both arms eventually.. and the arms connecting to the chest.. then I might be satisfied until I'm 35 or so..

So many ideas.. so little money..
