Looks like they are in for one crazy ride.. Never been in a hurricane before myself. Tripping just seems like a very bad idea when your judgement and instinct is going to be the key to your survival.

We should all say a small prayer for those who are stuck down there. :heart: No matter what your beliefs are send your best wishes down that way, they are going to need it.

i have a cousin in a jail there and i heard they didnt evac any of the jails, it just happens to be the cousin i rode out andrew with in miami i hope hes safe. hurricanes really suck my yard is still trashed from when katrin came thru florida

I'm in Covington. Like most others in this town, I am riding it out. We got some friends over from New Orleans. Got a cooler full of sadwiches, some water, and a nice bag of weed.

I got my camera ready, so whenever the power comes back, I might have pictures/video of my roof tearing off or my car flying down the road...

Also, thats true about the jails. Left all the inmates in prison, includin OPP, which if I am correct, is like 10ft below sea level.

And at the risk of spreading rumors, I HEARD that the red cross estimated 40,000 dead in ne NOLA metro. Probably a rumor. Fucking hopefully, thats unbelievable...

Heh..yeah, tripping during a hurricane is uneccesary. They are trippy enough on their own. I survived a direct hit by Hurricane Camille- the eerie skies, green and blue lightning and funnel clouds are unforgettable.

I'm in the path of this one as well, but am on high ground so it should be okay here.
