Polyfill/Tyvek question

Hi there,
I'm going to give the horse dung substrate a shot.  I have an adequate plastic container that will serve as the fruiting chamber, and I will drill 4 holes in it for gas exchange.  In the holes I will put polyfill or tyvek (whatever I can find, I've never used those before).  Here's my question: Does the polyfill/tyvek need to be sterilized beforehand?
