Fly Argus?
    #456307 -

I was with a friend at work today lookin for shrooms and we saw this fairly giant shroom (a little bigger then a softball). The cap was orange with yellow spots on it and the stem and gills were white as I can remember... He said the trip was... "Godlike, Like you created the universe." And that it was called fly argus. I've looked for it on the web and havent found anything about it... Can you guys help me out?

Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric). Never tried them so I can't say too much. Just go to the link to find out about them.

It's been confirmed... These are Fly Agaric mushrooms... Am I just dumb or is this a great find? I was only able to get about 50 grams today... I'm going to get more tomarrow before the rain kills them all... I'll try to get pictures up ASAP

Real mixed thoughts on the Amanitas. Some people love 'em, some don't care for 'em. I've tried 'em once - they taste great sauted up. Yum! That's something you definitely can't say for psilocybes.

Anyhow, I'd read up on them. Check erowid.org, and also the info here at the Shroomery.
