Mormons, why?

They came to my door today, to talk.
I said i'd talk to them, but they can't come inside my house.

I wasn't paying attention to one thing he was talking about.
Then he'd ask me a question and i'd say something like "what?"

While they was here I was smoking as many cigarrettes as I could.

They gave me The book of Mormon. :lol: I guess they didn't have too much faith in me, because they said they are going to come back thursday to get the book. Mean while they are supposed to be giving them away free.

They was nice people all in all, and I treated them fairly nice as well, wishing them good luck as they left.

Oh yea, I shook their hands and crushed them haha

I spent enough time in SLC to know more about mormonism than they would tell you. Try getting into a social/country club there, they check your church donation records. Try getting a job, they check your church attendance. Take a mormon fishing and he'll drinking all your beer because no one is around to see him do it. Hearsay and experience are different things.

edit: maybe REQUIRE was the wrong word, but they can't exactly say "no" and hope to succeed in the community

I spent about a month every year living with either mormon or lutheran families in SLC. There is a lot more to the mormon community than they tell you at church.

In so cal? I've only met a few Mormons, and they're all family members that lived in Utah for a while, then converted.

I've lived all over, mainly in Seattle, my parents lived in idaho and utah when they grew up.

Nashbar: Oh, please, teach me about what mormons are really like--from an insider's perspective.

Just my whole family is mormon, so you probably are way more in depth. Tell me about their secret rituals

I am mormon too, I just stopped going to church over 18 years ago....I hate being told what to do with my life...I like to trip and enjoy life..

mormons seem pretty chill
they are always quiet and polite

theyre alot cooler than those guys who throw pamphlets in your face and ask if your soul is safe from hell, and then they tell you you can go to heaven if you just read the phrase on the back of the pamphlet once a day.

Usually they are, but I have met all kinds..not all are quiet...yea they basically are cool, but the ones that are forcing thier way of life on you is the ones I can't stand..
