Ok, enough small talk. I am here to ask a Prolly newbie question...... It involves a glove box and innoculation.
I was initially turned off to the idea of the glovebox, but lately I have realized that I could save myself literaly hours of prep time using the g-box instead of the kitchen for certain procedures. To get my freakin place and myself sterile even with unlimited kitchen use is turning into a bear of a challenge, and I am running thru lysol cans like there is no tommorrow.... So, I have bought all materials cept for a hepa filter for my g-box. Even have the holes cut.
( on a side note. One of the popular glovebox teks on the web complete with pix, suggests using a hair dryer and tin snips to cut the holes into the box.
I used an exacto knife heated with a pencil torch and got some great results
Try it if'n ya don't have a hair dryer handy, I get my pencil torches out of the $1.98 boxes in gas stations, they work great, last forever... :)
I had read previously on another tek that when you use TAPE to seal the jars during sterilization be VERY careful because the vacuum created can suck down a whole syringe,,, Damn my newbie luck!!!! Case in point, I lost a ten dollar matius romero syringe down one pint this last friday evening!!! Oh my!! That wasn't in the plan.......
Good thing I have been practicing making my own syringes, though I was extremely dissapointed. I have only one syringe left from three I bought from one of the vendors here... And If I fuck up one more time, i'll NEVER know how good his stuff is!!! LOL!!!! two strikes, hopefully NOT a third!! All I have left from him is the N.O. blues... ;0) Not looking to ruin that one!
So here is my thought.
Tape and FIRMLY SEAL jars before sterilization.
Allow to cool, place in glove box.
Using honeywater or other bulk syringe tek, create 1 syringe per jar
Get glovebox all fired up, with ALL jars and interior of glovebox
NUKED with lysol, then dried via hepa filter. When innoculating,
go ahead and let the vaccum suck the entire syringe into the jar.
The air sucked in will be clean, the innoculant spread thruout the jar...
And the hepa is still running, never needed to shut it off....
the jar is now FULL of innoculant, and everything is sterile.
Looking for MASSIVE colonization in record time!!!
Is this doable??? has anyone reading this tried it??
Would this work???
Either tell me I am an idiot, or let me know why this crazy idea just might work :0)

IM NOT THAT EXPERIANCED BUT I WOULD SAY A WHOLE SYRINGE WOULD CAUSE ALL KINDS OF BACTERIA PROBLEMS

Let's back up. If your prepared jars are vacuumed sealed, you aint gonna grow shit. So, do you see what happens to your HEPA and Lysol? You're no idiot, it just isn't your turn to revolutionize cultivation.

I don't think I am going to revolutionize cultivation, I just thought maybe this had been done before. I have seen DOZENS of great tek Ideas and a lot of them have thier own little innovations that you can find nowhere else...
Listen, THE SEALED jars have just been sterilized, They are SEALED, maybe 8 to 10 hours out of the cooker. Cool to the touch. THEN, they are nuked on the outside with lysol, and dried in the g-box. Hepa is turned on. Doesn't hafta be a whole syringe, but in a lot of cases more innoculant is better.... From the point of innoculation, they are no longer sealed. When innoculated the jars suck in oxygen and innoculant. They are no longer sealed. So, did I get confused or did you!? Is it clearer???

LOL! And, I really appreciate the part where you say I am no idiot!!! LOL!!! There are a few people on this board who would beg to differ I am sure!
And, a little extra info... I ended up learning that the vaccum sealed sterilized jars are difficult anyway...
I had 9 pint jars. 7 with complete seals, used a total of
2 1/2 syringes and I think the instant air sucked in pre contamed most of the jars.... I was using an oven tek, complete with hepa mask, latex gloves ect... Basically the works when it comes to guarding against contams...
But when the jars finally breathe, I think that in the open kitchen I prolly lost them all. Did this tek friday night, gonna take a look at the jars for the first time this evening...
