here are some parts i found interesting (aka really really fucked up)
"Some subjects' participation was consensual, and in these cases, the subjects appeared to be singled out for even more horrific experiments. In one c'ase, a selection of volunteers were given LSD for 77 days straight."
"Gottlieb was known to torture victims by locking them in sensory deprivation chambers while dosed on LSD, or to make recordings of psychiatric patients' therapy sessions, and then play a tape loop of the patient's most self-degrading statement over and over through headphones after the patient had been restrained in a straitjacket and dosed with LSD"
"Another technique was connecting a barbiturate IV into one arm and an amphetamine IV into the other. The barbiturates were released into the subject first, and as soon as the subject began to fall asleep, the amphetamines were released. The subject would begin babbling incoherently at this point, and it was sometimes possible to ask questions and get useful answers. This treatment was discarded as it often resulted in the death of the patient from physical side effects of the drug combination, making further interrogation impossible"
" His "driving" experiments consisted of putting subjects into drug-induced coma for months on end (up to three in one case) while playing tape loops of noise or simple repetitive statements. His experiments were typically carried out on patients who had entered the institute for minor problems such as anxiety disorders and post-partum depression, many of whom suffered permanently from his actions."

yeah im not sure i believe all of this, but i bet that this is based on some truth. and if the truth is even just 10 percent of what is said about it...wow, it would still be pretty damn bizarre and disturbing

I've known about it. After I read it, I had no idea how anyone could possibly trust or believe anything the government does/says, and to some extent want to even live in this country. Our government has done a lot of bad shit that most people don't know about it, because it's never given much attention.

they arent really that fucked up i mean, its bad they did it but, all they r trying to do is test reactions and see how much the human body can take.

No, that form of consciousness alteration is very fucked up. Especially if you do not want it. That is one of the worst things you can do to someone, IMO.

The government has done a lot of fucked up things. Why is that surprising?
Quote:
During the initial years after the discovery of plutonium, when its biological and physical properties were very poorly understood, a series of human radiation experiments were performed by the U.S. government and by private organizations acting on its behalf. From the time of April 1945 to July 1947, 18 men, women, and children were deliberately injected with solutions containing various concentrations of plutonium by doctors working with the Manhattan Project. Though the injections were only to occur in what were percieved by the doctors as terminally ill patients at the hospital, in at least one instance this was not the case and the injections, in all cases, were conducted without any kind of informed consent from the subjects of the experiment. The episode is considered today, to be a gross violation of human rights and of the Hippocratic Oath, and is widely regarded as one of the darkest chapters in 20th-century American medical history. [1]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plutonium#History
And I'm pretty sure the MKULTRA article in Wikipedia is at least mostly accurate to the known truth.

they only do it for science though. they arent thinking about how much torture they r putting these people through. they just thinking "hmm lets see how people react to this and this and this". it is pretty fucked up, but without those experiments they would never know how the human body reacts. it is pretty sad though

its one thing if its strictly for science, im all for exploration in that field and whatnot, but when you are taking in unknowing/unsuspecting test subjects, that is crossing the line by far...especially in the field of science that they were experimenting with in the MKULTRA
