Pink Floyd
    #4514198 - 08/09/05 11:53 AM (18 years, 7 months ago)

I heard dark side of the moon gives off really good vibes when tripping. Personally, I don't like pink floyd that much, but do you think that will really matter when im tripping? I've never actually listened to music at any of the peaks of my trips, ive always been outside - so im not sure if i will love music i dont normally care for that much
I listened to ATB - 9PM while coming down one time, and it was amazing.. every time i hear that song I feel like im somewhat tripping again.

Closing your eyes and listen to some music can be pretty intense while tripping. I suggest you just try Pink Floyd, you can always turn it off if you don't like it

In(di)go introduced me to Easy Star All Stars - Dub Side of the Moon my last trip. It was WOWOWOW    :mushroom2: :crazy2: You should try it!

Dark Side of the Moon + shrooms was what got me totally hooked on PF!!  I'm now a fan.

Before I tripped to them, I didn't "get them" really or their sound...now I can't get enough of them!

Try it out...like Annom said, you can always switch to something else if it's not doing it for ya.

I love Pink Floyd. They are definetly more geared toward LSD imo...but I'm probably partial because I listened to Floyd during my first few trips. They can be a bit too profound lyrically for mushrooms in my experience. DSOTM was amazing while tripping...some of the most vivid closed-eye hallucinations I've ever gotten. Mantids chasing around a giant mushroom (falling & sliding off during Us & Them)...you had to be there :tongue2:

pink floyd is almost all i listen to when i trip. its the only thing i know that guarantee good mental set (along with confortable setting and loved ones o'course) if you want the really abstract try ummagumma. if memory serves its all insrumental, v few vocals for the whole album. it was what i was listened to on my first trip. anyone else ever see dinosaurs on a trip? nuff said.

dark side of the moon is great to, very powerful.

happy trippin

Pink Floyd is the greatest while tripping

If you can find any of their live concert recordings from 1969-1974, listen to those. Mindblowingly psychedelic, really amazing.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste, though.

if you want a good floyd experience while tripping, take the album animals, a pair of headphones, put it in and put it on repeat. They structured the album so it loops beautifully you cant tell the end from the beginning. Plus animals is probably their second best album IMO.

Fearless was the first song that i heard on my first trip, followed by some crazy mad Aphex-Twin song, then Echos. Absolutely amazing.

Pink Floyd is like a lot of bands out there in that you have to listen to them a few times to feel the groove and really get into em. After that, its all gravy.

IMO there's nothing quite like an LSD experience while listening to floyd. Since i wasnt born in time to catch them live, nor did i have the money or ticket to fly out and see them at live 8 this year, i did get to catch roger water during is "in the flesh" tour in 99. Managed to find some decent amber liquid at 3 bucks a drop and man, what a fucking experience it was. We were seated to the side of the stage so i didnt get to catch the visuals they had playing behind the band, but we were so close i could read the writing on the drummers shirt. One of the top 5 great shows ive been too.

good vibes (from what i understand) have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of music, i know of people who get great vibes of rap, while it just tries to eat away at my brain.  I tend to get good vibes of music like Pink floyd and the Greatful Dead, also some really good Jazz music is always nice, it depends on what you like.

Tool also, its more of a preferance of personal opinion, really nothing to do with what the music is, but i would try to stay away from 'angry' music and find 'trippy' music, because the people who make 'trippy' music tend to do the best drugs

sry if im ramblin, im on some good pain meds that im sooo not used to.. anyway, just make sure its music that you love, something that you almost get shivers up your spine when u listen to.
