Definetly. I like smoking weed, but when I realize how much it controls some people, it helps me keep it "recreational"

It sounds like your friend is attacking the effects rather than the cause of his problem. Marijuana smoking may be an effect, but if he gets that bad after just one day it's obvious marijuana is being used to try to cover up something deeper.

I hired in as a mailhandler and advanced to maintance ...
I dont have a engineering degree but i do as far as the govt is concerned
Shit i partied for 5+ years at the University of Oklahoma and learned a shitload about every aspect of the HVAC and Electrical Engineering world...
I even got to go thru a Safe Cracking course...major security clearance for that school
I can pick locks pretty good ...
If i have the right type of monitoring equipment i can pick just about any safe lock...even ones with 5+ type combos

I wasn't disagreeing with him, dude. I'm just saying there are a lot of things that can change ones high. I agree that people do react differently do the same kind of weed, just that there can't be such a huge difference like he was saying. I got the impression that while smoking the same sack, he felt a huge body buzz while his friend was tripping out. I know people react differently to the same substance, every ones body is different. I'm just saying the effects can't vary that much.

Personally, I trip the fuck out in a good way, quite often simply from smoking pot. I tend to get visuals and "hallucinate" from pot almost every time. I've never met anyone who reports this as well. None of my friends get this effect from weed. It does not matter if it's schwag or dank, my mind runs like a river spewing philosophical ideas and my eyes see things that where not there before the smoke. Granted, strain makes a BIG difference in the quality and intensity of these effects, (I'm partial to Hindu Kusch and white widow myself, and I LOVE the trainwreck buds, btw. :wink:) and sometimes certain aspects are amplified over others, but the marijuana effect on me is what it is, and it's different from anyone I know. The strains produce different effect, sure, but that different effect is variable from person to person, in a rather huge way often times. My last girlfriend thought it was the shit when she smoked some blueberry after a month without smoke and saw a red light when she was laying in the dark. That was her massive marijuana hallucination. And hearing her report this all I can think is "I guess she won't take me seriously when I bring up the block people, huh."

The effects of marijuana, even the same strain, or same sack, can be massively different from person to person.

another friend of mine swore up and down that there was absolutely no difference between being drunk and being high on pot (which to this day boggles my fucking mind). I find them to be opposites in a certain way. Simply put, the stuff effects people in a variety of ways.


There seems to be a bit of anti pot sentiment amongst the love here in this thread. Speaking (or typing, I guess) personally, I LOVE the shit out of pot, it's my best friend, I adore the plant, and will continue to smoke 'till I die. I love it in the morning, I love it in the afternoon, and I love it at night. It does not fuck up my life, It does not make me too tired to do anything, It does not make it hard for me to think straight. It DOES cause me to perceive things in a way I absolutely adore. I lets me know when I've been a dip shit sober, and it allows me to have no desire for alcohol when it's around. I could go on and on and on all friggin' night about pot and my love for it, but I'll spare you this time.

Marijuana is the best thing that has ever happened to me this side of LSD.

I love Mary Jane. She will always be the primary lady in my life.

It always gives me creative inspiration, I want to make music.
But when I try usually it's hard and I fail..

Maybe I should lower the dosage I smoke...  :stoned:

I smoke once a week, in special occasions I sometimes smoke twice a week.  :smirk: Around 10 years ago I smoked every day, this is better.  :thumbup:

some strains will make you lazy mostly with the indica strains because of the couchlock feeling,but sativas mostly give you energy i find

I get a Face,Eye,Cheek,Head High!
Sometimes I get a good body high.
I get TOONVISION... Lots of Color Flares with good ChroniC.
I get some Killer Green Schwaggg.. It gives you a diff high.
It also depends on the strain of weed and the THC content that will depict your high along with your state of mind...
I got some coastal and sweet tooth the other day .. My GOD I was stoned from head to toe for 3 solid hours!
