Midnight Oil
Beds Are Burning
by Unknown Out where the river broke The bloodwood and the desert oak Holden wrecks and boiling diesels Steam in forty five degrees
The time has come To say fair's fair To pay the rent To pay our share The time has come A fact's a fact It belongs to them Let's give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning How do we sleep while our beds are burning How can we dance when our earth is turning How do we sleep while our beds are burning
The time has come to say fairs fair to pay the rent, now to pay our share
Four wheels scare the cockatoos From Kintore East to Yuendemu The western desert lives and breathes In forty five degrees
The time has come To say fair's fair To pay the rent To pay our share The time has come A fact's a fact It belongs to them Let's give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning How do we sleep while our beds are burning How can we dance when our earth is turning How do we sleep while our beds are burning
The time has come to say fair's fair To pay the rent, now to pay our share The time has come, a fact's a fact It belongs to them, let's give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning How do we sleep while our beds are burning

Norwegian Wood - The Beatles
I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me. She showed me her room, isn?t it good, norwegian wood? She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere, So I looked around and I noticed there wasn?t a chair. I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine. We talked until two and then she said, it?s time for bed. She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh. I told her I didn?t and crawled off to sleep in the bath. And when I awoke I was alone, this bird had flown. So I lit a fire, isn?t it good, norwegian wood.
Its my new fav song

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they called ?gitche gumee? The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead When the skies of November turn gloomy With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty. That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed When the gales of November came early.
The ship was the pride of the American side Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most With a crew and good captain well seasoned Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms When they left fully loaded for Cleveland And later that night when the ship?s bell rang Could it be the north wind they?d been feelin?? The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound And a wave broke over the railing And every man knew, as the captain did too, T?was the witch of November come stealin?. The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait When the gales of November came slashin?. When afternoon came it was freezin? rain In the face of a hurricane west wind.
When suppertime came, the old cook came on deck sayin?. Fellas, it?s too rough to feed ya. At seven p.m. a main hatchway caved in, he said Fellas, it?s been good t?know ya The captain wired in he had water comin? in And the good ship and crew was in peril. And later that night when his lights went outta sight Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Does any one know where the love of God goes When the waves turn the minutes to hours? The searches all say they?d have made whitefish bay If they?d put fifteen more miles behind her. They might have split up or they might have capsized; May have broke deep and took water. And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters.
Lake Huron rolls, superior sings In the rooms of her ice-water mansion. Old Michigan steams like a young man?s dreams; The islands and bays are for sportsmen. And farther below lake Ontario Takes in what lake Erie can send her, And the iron boats go as the mariners all know With the gales of November remembered.
In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed, In the maritime sailors? cathedral. The church bell chimed till it rang twenty-nine times For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald. The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they call ?gitche gumee?. Superior, they said, never gives up her dead When the gales of November come early!

band:swans song:miracle of love
She holds a key to the room down there And I, I will follow, but I'll never fall in Yeah, we'll suffer for nothing, and we'll never forgive God said to no one to do what he did
One second in your presence is a miracle of love One second denied is a miracle of love
The young man is weakness in a lover's disguise The woman is strong in her warm-bitter lies How will they hope what they can never perceive? And how do they love what they fail to deceive?
One second in your memory is a miracle of lies One heartbeat in your body is a miracle of love White light on a black sky is a miracle from above One lonely moment in your arms is a miracle of love

Saul Williams Act III Scene 2
This is a call out to all the youth in the ghettos, suburbs, villages, townships. To all the kids who download this song for free. By any means. To all the kids short on loot but high on dreams. To all the kids watching T.V., like, "Yo, I wish that was me." And all the kids pressing rewind on Let's Get Free. I hear you. To all the people within the sound of my voice.
Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line. Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line.
I didn't vote for this state of affairs. My emotional state's got me prostrate, fearing my fears. In all reality I'm under prepared. 'Cause I'm ready for war but not sure if I'm ready to care. And that's why I'm under prepared. 'Cause I'm ready to fight, but most fights have me fighting back tears. 'Cause the truth is really I'm scared. Not scared of the truth, but just scared of the length you'll go to fight it. I tried to hold my tongue, son. I tried to bite it. I'm not trying to start a riot or incite it. 'Cause Brutus is an honorable man. It's just coincidence that oil men would wage war on an oil rich land. And this one goes out to my man, taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand, then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam. But Brutus is an honorable man.
Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line. Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line.
If you have tears prepare to shed them now. For you share the guilt of blood spilt in accordance with the Dow Jones. Dow drops fresh crop skull and bones. A machete in the heady: Hutu, Tutsi, Leone. An Afghani in a shanty. Doodle dandy yank on! An Iraqi in Gap khaki. Coca Coma come on! Be ye bishop or pawn, in the streets or the lawn, you should know that these example could go on and on and what since does it make to keep your ears to the street? As long as oils in the soil, truth is never concrete. So we dare to represent those with the barest of feet. 'Cause the laws to which we're loyal keep the soil deplete. It's our job to not let history repeat.
Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line. Spit for the hated, the reviled, the unrefined, the no ones, the nobodies, the last in line.
So here's the plan. The ides of march are always at hand. And when the power hungry strike, they strike the poorest of man. And if you dare put up a fight, they'll come and fight for your land. And they'll call it liberation or salvation. A call to the youth! Your freedom ain't so free, it's just loose. but the power of your voice could redirect every truth. Shift and shape the world you want and keep your fears in a noose. Let them dangle from a banner star spangled. I'm willing and able. To lift my dreams up out of their cradle. Nurse and nurture my ideals 'til they're much more than a fable. I can be all I can be and do much more than I'm paid to. And I won't be a slave to what authorities say do. My desire is to live within a nation on fire, where creative passions burn and raise the stakes ever higher. Where no person is addicted top some twisted supplier who promotes the sort of freedom sold to the highest buyer. We demand a truth naturally at one with the land, not a plant that photosynthesizes bombs on demand, or a search for any weapons we let fall from our hands. I got beats and a plan. I'm gonna do what I can. And what you do is question everything they say do, every goal ideal or value they keep pushing on you. If they ask you to believe it question whether it's true. If they ask you to achieve, is it for them or for you. You're the one they're asking to go carry a gun. Warfare ain't humanitarian. You're scaring me, son. Why not fight to feed the homeless, jobless, fight inflation?! Why not fight for our own healthcare and our education?! And instead, invest in that erasable lead, 'cause their twisted propaganda can't erase all the dead. And the pile of corpses pyramid on top of our heads. Or nevermind, said the shotgun to the head.

My Chemical Romance - Thank you for the Venom
---
Sister, I'm not much a poet, but a criminal And you never had a chance Love it, or leave it, you can't understand A pretty face, but you do so carry on and on and on
I wouldn't front the scene if you paid me I'm just the way that the doctor made me, on and on and on and on Love is the red of the rose on your coffin door What's life like, bleeding on the floor the floor the floor
You'll never make me leave I wear this on my sleeve Give me a reason to believe
[Chorus] So give me all your poison And give me all your pills And give me all your hopeless hearts And make me ill You're running after something That you'll never kill If this is what you want Then fire at will
Preach all you want but who's gonna save me? I keep a gun on the book you gave me, hallelujah, lock and load Black is the kiss, the touch of the serpent son It ain't the mark or the scar that makes you one and one and one and one
You'll never make me leave I wear this on my sleeve Give me a reason to believe
[Chorus]
You'll never make me leave I wear this on my sleeve You wanna follow something Give me a better cause to lead Just give me what I need Give me a reason to believe
[Chorus x2]

Waste by KMFDM
What I don't know I don't like What I don't like I don't want What I don't want I waste
I hypnotize with alibis and fingers made of lead I sympathize with frozen eyes turned inwards in my head I realize to my demise it's better left unsaid That columns crash down endlessly and I will end up dead
I theorize i'm on the rise But all I do is fall I victimize my love of life I've seen and done it all
Ready steady stop Hurry up and wait The tick tick ticking of the clock Delineates your fate
What I don't see I don't know What I don't know I don't want What I don't want I don't need What I don't need I don't feel What I don't feel I don't say What I don't say I don't do What I don't do I don't like What I don't like I waste
Ready steady go Finish up your plate Before you even realize It's gonna be too late
I don't know what I see I don't want what I know I don't need what I want I don't feel what I need I don't say what I feel I don't do what I say I don't like what I do I just like to waste

bob dylan - talking third world war blues
Some time ago a crazy dream came to me, I dreamt I was walkin' into World War Three, I went to the doctor the very next day To see what kinda words he could say. He said it was a bad dream. I wouldn't worry 'bout it none, though, They were my own dreams and they're only in my head.
I said, "Hold it, Doc, a World War passed through my brain." He said, "Nurse, get your pad, this boy's insane," He grabbed my arm, I said "Ouch!" As I landed on the psychiatric couch, He said, "Tell me about it."
Well, the whole thing started at 3 o'clock fast, It was all over by quarter past. I was down in the sewer with some little lover When I peeked out from a manhole cover Wondering who turned the lights on.
Well, I got up and walked around And up and down the lonesome town. I stood a-wondering which way to go, I lit a cigarette on a parking meter And walked on down the road. It was a normal day.
Well, I rung the fallout shelter bell And I leaned my head and I gave a yell, "Give me a string bean, I'm a hungry man." A shotgun fired and away I ran. I don't blame them too much though, I know I look funny.
Down at the corner by a hot-dog stand I seen a man, I said, "Howdy friend, I guess there's just us two." He screamed a bit and away he flew. Thought I was a Communist.
Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave, "Let's go and play Adam and Eve." I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin' When she said, "Hey man, you crazy or sumpin', You see what happened last time they started."
Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown And there was nobody aroun', I got into the driver's seat And I drove 42nd Street In my Cadillac. Good car to drive after a war.
Well, I remember seein' some ad, So I turned on my Conelrad. But I didn't pay my Con Ed bill, So the radio didn't work so well. Turned on my player- It was Rock-A-Day, Johnny singin', "Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa, Our Loves Are Gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah."
I was feelin' kinda lonesome and blue, I needed somebody to talk to. So I called up the operator of time Just to hear a voice of some kind. "When you hear the beep It will be three o'clock," She said that for over an hour And I hung it up.
Well, the doctor interrupted me just about then, Sayin, "Hey I've been havin' the same old dreams, But mine was a little different you see. I dreamt that the only person left after the war was me. I didn't see you around."
Well, now time passed and now it seems Everybody's having them dreams. Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with no one else. Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time. But all the people can't be all right all the time I think Abraham Lincoln said that. "I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours," I said that.

Even for the people who hates rap, I sugges you download this song and read the lyric with the song. It's one of the songs thats gonna leave you speechless
Artist: Immortal Technique TitleL Dance with the devil
[Verse 1] I once knew a nigga whose real name was William his primary concern, was making a million being the illest hustler, that the world ever seen he used to fuck moviestars and sniff coke in his dreams a corrupted young mind, at the age of thirteen nigga never had a father and his mom was a feen she put the pipe down, but forever yeah she was sober her sons heart simultaneously grew colder he started hanging out selling bags in the projects checking the young chicks, looking for hit and run prospects he was fascinated by material objects but he understood money never bought respect he build a reputation cause he could hustle and steal but got locked once it didn't hesitate to squeal so criminals he chilled with didn't think he was real you see me and niggaz like this have never been equal I dont project my insurecurity's at other people he feeded for props like addicts with pipes and needles so he felt he had to prove to everyone he was evil a fever minded young man with infinite potetial the product of a ghetto breed capatalistic mental coincidentally dropped out of school to sell weed dancing with the devil, smoked until his eyes would bleed but he was sick of selling trees and gave in to his greed
Everyone trying to be trife never face the consequences you propably only did a month for minor offences ask a nigga doing life if he had another chance but then again there's always the wicked at new and advanced dance forever with the devil on a code cell block but thats what happens when you rape, murder and sell rock devils used to be gods, angels that fell from the top there's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot
[Verse 2] So Billy started robbing niggaz, anything he could do he'd get his respect back, in the eyes of his crew starting fights over little shit, up on the block stepped up to selling mothers and brothers the crack rock working overtime for making money for the crack spot hit the jackpot and wanted to move up to cocaine for filling the scarface fantasy stuck in his brain tired of the block niggaz treating him the same he wanted to be major like the cut throats and the thugs but when he tried to step to 'em, niggaz showed him no love they told him any motherfucking coward can sell drugs any bitch nigga with a gun, can bust slugs any nigga with a red shirt can front like a blood even Puffy smoked the motherfucker up in a club but only a real thug can stab someone till they die standing in front of them, starring straight into their eyes Billy realized that these men were well guarded and they wanted to test him, before business started suggested raping a bitch to prove he was cold hearted so now he had a choice between going back to his life or making money with made men, up in the cife his dreams about cars and ice, made him agree a hardcore nigga is all he ever wanted to be and so he met them friday night at a quarter to three
[Verse 3] They drove around the projects slow while it was raining smoking blunts, drinking and joking for entertainment untill they saw a woman on the street walking alone three in the morning, coming back from work, on her way home and so they quietly got out the car and followed her walking through the projects, the darkness swallowed her they wrapped her shirt around her head and knocked her onto the floor this is it kid now you got your chance to be raw so Billy oaked her up and grapped the chick by the hair and dragged her into a lobby that had nobody there she struggled hard but they forced her to go up the stairs they got to the roof and then held her down on the ground screaming shut the fuck up and stop moving around the shirt covered her face, but she screamed the clouts so Billy stomped on the bitch, until he broken her jaw the dirty bastards knew exactly what they were doing they kicked her until they cracked her ribs and she stopped moving blood leaking through the cloth, she cried silently and then they all proceeded to rape her violently Billy was meant to go first, but each of them took a turn ripping her up, and choking her until her throat burned a broken jaw mumbled for god but they weren't concerned when they were done and she was lying bloody, broken and broos one of them niggaz pulled out a brand new twenty-two they told him that she was a witness of what she'd gone through and if he killed her he was guaranteed a spot in the crew he thought about it for a minute, she was practicly dead and so he leaned over and put the gun right to her head
(Sample from "Survival of the Fittest" by Mobb Deep) I'm falling and I can't turn back I'm falling and I can't turn back
[Verse 4] Right before he pulled the trigger, and ended her life he thought about the cold pain with the platinum and ice and he felt strong standing along with his new brothers cocked the gat to her head, and pulled back the shirt cover but what he saw made him start the cringine studder cuz he was starring into the eyes of his own mother she looked back at him and cried, cause he had forsaken her she cried more painfully, than when they were raping her his whole world stopped, he couldn't even contiplate his corruption had succesfully changed his fate and he remembered how his mom used to come home late working hard for nothing, cause now what was he worth he turned away from the woman that had once given him birth and crying out to the sky cause he was lonely and scared but only the devil responded, cause god wasn't there and right then he knew what it was to be empty and cold and so he jumped off the roof and died with no soul they say death take you to a better place but I doubt it after that they killed his mother, and never spoke about it and listen cause the story that I'm telling is true cuz I was there with Billy Jacobs and I raped his mom to and now the devil follows me everywhere that I go infact I'm sure he's standing among one of you at my shows and every street cypher listening to little thugs flowe he could be standing right next to you, and you wouldn't know the devil grows inside the hearts of the selvish and wicked white, brown, yellow and black colored is not restricted you have a self destructive destiny when your inflicted and you'll be one of gods children and fell from the top there's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot so when the devil wants to dance with you, you better say never because the dance with the devil might last you forever.
