If you enjoy Tool and music without lyrics, I would highly recommend two bands, Pelican and Isis.
Both bands are awesome. I've always enjoyed smoking a few joints then kicking back and listening to some aternative metal.

I prefer music without lyrics. It makes it easier to make my own interpretation of the mood and dynamic of a piece, and to make it about me.
I like good lyrics too, though.

I would say about 95% of the music I listen to these days does not have lyrics, and the music I listen to that does have lyrics it is typically female vocals.
I actually have a problem with not being able to hear lyrics in songs, I made a thread in regards to it a while back. I can hear the lyrics being sang but they literally go in one ear and out the other and never register. I can listen to a song over and over and still be clueless as to what the lyrics are. I do consider a voice to be part of the song, but the actual words I just can not hear regardless of how clearly they are sang....And I have yet to find lyrics along with music I can relate to so .

RUSH have sweet lyrics as well,
Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise,
Beating down the multitude and
Scoffing at the wise!

no lyrice come close to that born slippy song:
I just come out of the ship
Talking to the most blonde I ever met
Shouting lager lager lager lager
Shouting lager lager lager lager
Shouting lager lager lager lager
Shouting lager lager lager
Shouting mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega
Shouting lager lager lager lager
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
all set to pounding brainkilling set of beat-pants.

best things about lyrics:
can sing along when pissed, sometimes funny, sometimes epic story can send a message
bad stuff:
limited by having to fit them round the tune a beatiful voice takes no talent, u born like dat, get grafting u slackers! bad words get kids angry!
