Plexi or Plastic?

I have 6 cakes about 2/3 colonized. I think it's about time I come up with a suitable terrarium. I'm actually using 2 methods the 2-liter terrarium which i feel i have under control. Ill probably only do one or two cakes this way just to compare the yields of the two methods. But my issue is with my Rubbermaid container. Which would be best to create humidity, a piece of plexiglass or a clear plastic bag? I also have glass I could use if you think this would work better.
Let me know what you think Thx, TwIsTeD

i don't think either plexiglass or a plastic bag can create humidity. lol cut a hole in the lid and use a silicon sealant or epoxy to secure the plexiglass to the lid. easy 123.

Ok in PMP. Wouldent the water leave it open to contams? What if you were to wrap your pump in a coffee filter do you think this would work (or at least give me peace of mind)? And i have a smaller air pump i do have a line splitter I could use, but it only have 1 line out. Do you think instead of two air lines i could use one?

usually the idea isnt to wrap a filter around your pump, but rather make a box around your pump and make a sterile airflow to that box. This will give you no contams but also no stress your pump. My setup is my hepa filter blowing into my box with plastic bag connecting the filter and box. Obviously the filter fan is on low because a pump doesnt use THAT much air. If i didnt explain it enough or more curious just PM me or somethin

Just to let you know, Silicone has a tendancy to fail with plexiglass. Also, be sure to let dry for 24 hours after you seal with silicone I use silicone on a regular basis, so I figure using it correctly would be important to shroomers.

here is the thread for an air box: http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/24205
the smaller pump will probably not give you what is needed. it not only adds humidity in the environment but it also helps gives you much needed air exchange. if you set up the pmp as it should be done, then you will have no problems. follow the tek to the letter and you will be fine. peace
