I decided my Dharma name. It is Pema Sangye. Pronouced pay-ma san-jay.

Which means Lotus Buddha.

Typically they are given by Dharma masters to students, not just chosen for oneself. But if you feel the connection then maybe it's a good thing.

When I took Buddhist refuge I was given the name Konchog Tsultrim which means, "Jewel of Discipline." I always thought that was very ironic because discipline is anything but descriptive of me.
