is it necessary to let spores re-hydrate before innoculation when making a syringe from a spore print?

Th Psilocyber's syringe making tek in the Grow/Find section on the site suggests letting the spores re-hydrate for 12 hours. I just did this last night and made a syringe while I sterilzed my jars. The timing that way is perfect. Your jars cool for atleast 12 hours and the spores re-hydrate.

Yes, you need to rehydrate the spores, unless it's from a fresh print. All you need to do is make a spore syringe and let it sit for at least 8 hours, though 12+ is preferable.

Yes. A minimum of 12 hours. 24 hours recommended.

that doesn't really make sense tho... once the spores get transfered from the print to syringe.. then are injected into the moist substrate along with the expelled water and are always fairly moist.. plus they are so small I really don't think so much rehydration is necessary

It may not make sense but that is what advice we have to give. If your in such a hurry just do it... What difference is 12 hours really going to make in the grand scheme of things. Do you have a strict time schedule you have to meet or something? You've spent almost more time waiting to hear what you wanted then what would have taken to re-hydrate your spores.

Don't take this to offence. Your a newbie I supose...or at least it seems that way. The reason of using a syringe is with a newbie in mind. Things will stay alittle cleaner for someone who dosn't have much experaince. Hope this gives you some insight.
