if it has energy, it has meaning. it has consciousness...even the stars and planets...

--------------------
A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

The way I see astrology...is simple.

I don't believe in it, but I don't disbelieve either.

I see it for it is...a way for human beings to affirm their lives. Just like any other path of spirituality or religion.

If people find what they are looking for in astrology, then who cares if it's "real" or not.

Doesn't make much of a difference to me. I think astrology can be fun, but I'm not about to start reading the horoscope every day either.

agreed. i do not ever read my horoscope, considering the generalization of horoscopes...

i do not worship stars. nor do i rely on astrology.

i simply find it interesting, and like dwelling deeper into the secrets of planetary aspects, greek gods...mythology.

i like the myth. its funner than calculus...

I'm totally into mythology lately...I've even been considering going back to college (for the umpteenth time) and studying fairy tales and world mythology and all that good stuff. So much of the human experience is captured and preserved in myth and fairy tale. It's really amazing.

why would you waste your money on tuition studying mythology when you can just go to the library?

seriously, one thing I learned after getting my useless ass psychology degree, is that if you're gonna go to school, make sure you go for the purpose of accquiring some skill that will actually get you a good job.

I don't know! You have a good point. To be honest, I'm really fickle when it comes to what I want to do with my life. I've quit college twice now and yet I'm still planning to go back...just trying to decide what I want to do.

Why is your psychology degree useless?

useless in terms of getting a job. which is why I'm furthering my education. Tried neuroscience for awhile, but now I feel that I need more background in chemistry and biology in order to get all that I can out of expensive post grad classes. So I'm considering going back to undergrad to take cheap classes in chem and bio.

anyway, I think that the experience of going to psych classes was beneficial (learned a lot about myself, others, and society), but once I had that degree in my hand, I realized that it didn't really do much in terms of securing my future, which is what I'm most concerned with at this point in life.

If i had it to do over again, I would have studied psych in my spare time with books from Barnes and Noble, and gotten my degree in something useful, like computer science, or electrical engineering, or something...

i enjoy classes personally.

i enjoy collaborating with other students, and learning from other people.

independant study is nice, and the library is awesome, but classes and learning are too seperate experiences...

I think wisdom is useful. fufillment of the mind is more precious than a good job, imo. and i think a good job is something that you love doing. your passion...

wait till you're a little older, and your teeth have holes in them, and you have no dental plan, and every day you have less energy to go out and do things, and you wonder where you will be in 10 years, or if you will even be alive....

not to mention that men can't just sit around and wait to be hit on... we have to be achievers and make money or else the opposite sex won't want us... The poor die young, alone, and in misery, and I ain't gonna be one of those.

You can explain how Santa Claus' sled flies too, but that doesn't make him real.

Every study done to date where proper controls and double-blind methodologies were used to ensure a fair evaluation has shown only the results that would have occurred anyway due to random chance, no better.

Republican Values:

1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you.
2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

I think the basics of astrology have some validity.

Its simply based on a a few centuries of the observation that 'people born during this time or that time of year tend to exhibit these qualities'.

but when it gets into houses and rising signs and all that shit, I don't really pay much attention.

That's pretty much my attitude towards it. I doubt the planets really have anything to do with it, but I do see certain similarities among people born at the same time of year. They're very subtle similarities, though. Not the kind of thing that I could put into words or make accurate predictions about.

Perhaps. I imagine there's plenty of reasons why people born at certain times might have certain similarities. You don't need to look to the heavens to think of any rational explanations.
