Martha setup question

Just wondering if you can use a ultrasonic alone, or if the coolmist is also required for good results and why or why not?

ultrasonic is a lot of humidity and not much air exchange

coolmist is a lot of air exchange and not much humidity

both are used because the effects are relatively additive. Coolmist pumps in somewhat humid air and an ultrasonice boosts that into the 80-100% range.

Would a computer fan/hepa filter be O.K. for the air exchange part?

also, how do you prevent the introduction of contaminants from the ultrasonic? Boil the water that goes to fill it or what?

you'd use a portion of hydrogen peroxide in the water tank. i usually put it in everything, even the misters

if you're doing casings you shouldn't need an ultrasonic for the martha. you'll need to mist of course without it though

cool. I was thinking of custom making my own "martha" with pvc tubing and elbows, covered in high mil clear plastic sheeting epoxied to the tubing. Perhaps a velcro front flap..

It's just two coolmists. Running 24/7. It gets so much air it fills like a balloon,lol.
