Humidifcation setup question?

I did it! I was able to overcome my procrasination and finally order my syringes as well as finally registering on the site. Iv read and re-read many posts and the faq's, and viewed many other sites and im ready to give cultivation a shot. Iv had many questions which were eventually answered through searches both on and off this site. However, i do have a question which i was not able to find an answer to. At first I was planning to use a humidifier in my setup but then decided that perlite would be easier, but now I am reconsidering trying the humidifier. I have seen several pictures of how many people have rigged their humidifier, but many of the pictures i still didnt understand. So if anyone could explain to me how they hooked there tubing from the humidfier to their terririum that would be great. I am also interested in what types of materials you have used to make seals, and which of these are the best.
A few years back I was very interested in reptiles and i know from my experience there that i could hook up a thermometer/timer to the heating device (heating pad, heating rock), and this would keep the temperature consant by turning off/on the heating device automatically, so i wondered if the same could be done with the humidifier and if anyone has tried it (and how did you do it)?
Another idea i was thinking about, which i will probably eventually do if you guyz think this will work alright, is to put my humidifier in an enclosed plastic storage box. I would hook up my tubing, or pvc pipe, from the box to my terrarium. I am thinking about possibly having two or three seperate outlets which three different pvc pipes/tubing are hooked up to this plastic storage box and would go to three different terreriums. Or the other way would be to have one tubing connected to the plastic storage box and then have 3 outlets coming offf the tubing rather than 3 outlets in the storage box. (im not really sure if this makes any sense seeing as how im rambling on....). So do you think this will work? I have some time before i will be needing to build all this so any help would be greatly appreciated so i can know whether or not i should rethink my plans. Thanx in advance!

i use an ultrasonic and perlite. i only run the ultra when i have the lid off, because my ambient rh is very low. i think you should use perlite because it is reliable as it does not have the failure potential(electricity failure, empty tank, broken connection, etc.) of a humidifier. as for my interface i took the blower thing off the top of my ultrasonic and taped it closed with electrical tape. then i poked a small hole and inserted a tube resembling a garden hose. it is about 1" in diameter and a yard in length. i have the middle elevated so water does not condense in the middle and clog the flow. if you only want to use a humidifier then hook it up to a timer. you'll have to do a lot of trial and error to find what setting keeps your terr'm at ideal conditions.
