Is salvia like anything else?
    #4411657 -

Yeah, I've smoked salvia at least 20 times and everytime its just plain... weird. To me it is nothing like other hallucinagens although it seems to be lumped into the same category. I have never tried a dissociative (ketamine, PCP, DXM) and I was wondering is saliva more like them than like LSD or shrooms?

In my experience, there's nothing comparable to salvia. It's very unique. Not necessarily enjoyable, but very unique.

While I've never experienced it, I think I can remember reading some trip reports of people claiming to get dissociating effects.

In my opinion (for what that's worth,) Salvia's effects have more in common with dissociatives than hallucinogens. The mechanism of action is different, but Salvia can definitely remove your consciousness from 'normal' reality.

It definitely has its own unique set of quirks that set it apart though. I'm not really sure if salvia should be put in either category.

nothing like it that i've tried. i've read smoked DMT trip reports that sounded a bit like salvia, but i've never tried DMT myself. its nothing like ketamine, DXM or nitrous oxide.

if this makes any sense to you, eating 5 fresh amanita muscaria caps is very similar to a 6 hour long salvia trip, but a salvia trip is not like an amanita trip.

Err.. yeah. For lack of better words, I'll just quote a quote!

There's really nothing else I can say... it's definitely different than any other psychedelic or hallucinogen. Definitely worth trying a few times in your life, for sure.

I find salvia to be completely unlike any other drug out there. It is a totally alien plant.

when comparing the quick comeup, short duration, and extreme intensity (in some instances), it could be compared to dmt, although ive heard that dmt is much more valuable, enjoyable, BETTER.

i wouldnt classify salvia as an halucinagen, i would just call it a mind fuck.

It's unlike anything I have ever done, and I don't think there is anything out there that is really similar at all.

I find salvia and DMT similar, not exactally alike but similar.  DMT seems brighter and lighter. Salvia darker and heavier. I see some things similar and some different. Both leave me in awe.

The weirdest thing is (I tried again about an hour ago) that I have never EVER felt anything like there was a god or godess out there watching me; however, on my last salvia does it was like I was sooo close to communicating with some goddess and she was trying to talk to me but there was some barrier (the lack of Salvia-A in my blood) that was just keeping her from me. It was seriously the first time that I EVER felt that something other-worldly was out there. Does anyone get the feeling that something is trying to communicate with them they just can't get through?

How much salvia would you need to chew to get an effect in grams. Using wet/dry leaves. I ask this because I have never done Salvia before. I have a cutting arriving soon, so when it's nice and big I would like to try some, but don't want to over do it.

Good description, it makes my head feel like it's splitting and turning inside out, very strange. Then it's bye-bye  :bye:.

if you have a cutting coming
if you have a green thumb
In one year you can eat the whole plant and get pretty visionary
or dry those same leaves and have instead around 50 smoked experiences to write home about.

smoking is 50 times as effective as shewing.

so you tried it sometimes with entities and other times without entities - so do it many more times and take notes:
you will catch on (or not) to the effects of gestalt frame persistence:
the building up of stacks of realities from the mere passage of time.
which is like the thickening of our personal smear of being.

the entities are part of us - if they drop out and persist (stick around) you will notice much more, than as per normal when they drop out and just dissolve into the timestream.

later you will discover how they drop out as you just cary on being yourself.
