Just need to know about PC jars .

I just want to know. Do you put some thing to make sure the jars are not tuching the PC? Like a rag or some thing?

i dont, as long as they covered with alfoil to stop condensation runnin into them it wont matter if they touchin the side.

One more thing, the lid it says rubber side up? Should I do this?

what does PC mean?
and I put my rubber UP, but I am new to this, so you might want the answer from someone else...

PC= preassure cooker.

SOme people put the rubber side down, some do the opposite and claim good results. Personaly I put it down toward the jar.

Also, I think it is advisable to put something between the jars and the bottom of the PC, it should have come with a little rack that sits like 1/4in high....just so the heat is not transfered directly to the jars. That could cook the grains on the bottom.
