making a glovebox

Any ideas on glovebox construction for those less mechanically inclined? Can you buy them anywhere? Any advice would be appreciated.

start with a clear plastic box and start cutting holes. Duct tape and some rubber gloves... There are flowhoods out there for labs, but they are pricey

I made a flow-glove box based on the pictures from HippieChick. Blowers, filters, screens and little hangers... Works great so far, I could post a pic if I wanted to get my camera out.

two blowers and a light on the top

two gloves and little hooks on the sides

2 hepa filters and a polyfill filter with wire screens on the bottom

there is silicon gel and duct tape at each of the holes and junctions. I had a hot knife so the holes were easy. Wiring wasn't, but I figured it out. $27 total.

If the fans are on the top, and the filters on the bottom, wouldn't the air being pushed thru not be sterile ?

that depends on whether hes blowing air in or sucking it out, u could have the polyfill anywhere as long as those blowers are pulling air out and not forcing it in.

Don't know if they're any better, but I've done over 100 g2g transfer's, 10 grain to LC transfer's and made over 30 syringes and haven't lost one yet. It works for me,lol.

sorry, I guess i should have included that that the polyfill/hepa is only at the bottom.  the blowers suck through more polyfill out the top.  I know it's funny looking  :smile: I checked it with incense and it seems to like pretty vertical air flow. still looks like a pile of trash
