I've always seen it as useless anyway. What's the point of spending time organizing your bed everyday when you'll simply mess it up that night anyway?

That's how I feel about showering. Why bother when you're just gonna get dirty again tomorrow.

Because people will see and smell your body, but it's unlikely more than a few a night will see your bed.

"In the next stage of their research, the scientists are putting mite pockets into beds in 36 houses around the United Kingdom"
Are they sneaking in and doing this...because if some guy in a lab coat showed up at my home and said he was gonna put bugs in my bed I would run him off.

A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

And Diploid, that analogy doesn't hold true in reality. If you think flattening your sheets is the same as you taking a shower, your bed must smell pretty funky...
Making your bed is more like ironing your clothes than washing them.

A razor blade helps enormously.
