Millet hunters

hey, i just sterilized 8 jars of white millet / verm. half pints. steeped for 20 minutes. Jarred em up, 4 with ramsey seal, 4 with dry verm. layer.
I used 3:1 verm:millet, is this the right ratio?
I was looking for organicly grown Brown rice, but instead found organicly grown millet. thought i'd give grains a chance.
Anybody know the ratio's gimme a shout. i also put a tablespoon of honey in the mix just for some kick.

i'm sure it would work but a ratio 3:1 millet verm would work much better. simply not enough nutrients.

White millet is the best! However mixing verm. in the mix is not really nessecry(bad spelling...sorry :) Your millet should sit in water for about a day before use and then lightly boiled, and drained off...then P.cook. From sitting in water it absorbs enough...trust me. I got 100% colo. of Pans. Cyans from it in 7-8 days. By far the best substrate that I've used yet. BRF is ok also, but you have to get the water ratio just right....can become a mess sometimes.

What would you think about using half organic brown rice flour/half millet or birdseed, then using the millet steep water for moisture?
