OK, first let me get a few things down. Both of these plates were taken from wedges of fruits from the same casing. The strain is Thai Elephant Dung. this casing was doing horrible indoors. the green meanie got them before the first "flush" even matured. I decided to put the casings outside, but before i did that i made some clones of the pathetic fruits because they were just so weird looking. well once outside the green still took over but the casing fruited beautifully 2 full flushes.
it fruited as if the green wasnt even there, the green was all over the casing and even in the grain. would it be hasty of me to label this a highly contam "resistant" strain? to support my label even more, check out this first agar pic.
the obvious contam has been limited to that area as if the myc is fighting it off. here is a pic of the mushroom that clone came from

ok this next set of pics doesnt really have to do with the contam resistance but more of a strength/healthy strain question. This plate was made from one of these little bulby mutant things
its hard to see in the first pic of the plate but the myc is growing very ridge-like, /\/\/\/\ like that, kind of hilly. you can tell more clearly how its growing from the underside pic.
so whats up with that? ive never seen myc grow that way on agar. some super aggresive growth or what?
thanks guys. --waixingren

Don't know about the contam resistant. But you may want to check out what Hippichick grew... just for comparison... Outdoors seems to give the myc a big advantage.

Its not unusual and that strains no more resistant than any other strain IME (16 so far)..this happens all the time, with any strain if you leave it sit.
