 I Finally Broke Up With Mary Jane

Finally. I've been trying for months now but have never made it past... about 8 hours. Lucky for me though I have been removed from all my friends for about a week. Its been almost 48 hours now and I am still going strong. Someone out there please tell me that Mary-Jane was a bitch to me and I am better off without her.
Oh, and its not like I just ran out of weed or anything (I don't even think that is possible where I live).

Good choice, once you're over the hump, you should be set. Can't tell ya what the hump is, different for everyone. I broke a long habit with pot and never looked back. I definitely don't miss it at all.

Weed's good to have around and lots of fun to smoke, but it's also pretty easy to go overboard with it. You'll enjoy your buzzes a lot better if you lay off of it for a while....

Just let it go man. Start exercising or something. Quitting weed was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. If I had not quit a couple years ago I would have smoked up a large sum of money by now. I know I was well into the hundreds of dollars just in the first year I started smoking. The key is to find things to occupy your time. If all of your friends are potheads, well...you are going to have a rough time.

at least 5 years everyday now for me...soooo many intentions of quitting and SO wanting to sometimes...but never have. I still insist I'm not addicted. You gotta love denial.
I've decided, when I'm really ready to quit...I'll do it. I did it with nicotine. And it feels like that time is coming soon.
Keep busy, get a hobby even maybe and just try to fill your "pot smoking time" with something else.

Congrats man. I'm always telling myself "This is it! NO MORE!", but after a couple months I forget how crappy I feel when stoned and give it another try, smoke too much, and repeat.
I had 6 months probation in which I didn't smoke and honestly it was very nice in that respect. I felt much more productive and motivated, and with excercise I felt like I had 5 times the energy. Its easy to fall back though...nothing passes the time like MJ. Try to keep yourself occupied and avoid but don't abandon smokin friends.
I have one more bowl left from the sack I bought to give away as gifts. Hopefully this is the last time I smoke in a LONG time.
Good luck, it really is worth giving up.

If you really want to quit you will quit. For me weed has done nothing but illuminate my anxiety and cause depressive emotions but everyone is different. Weed can actually help some people too.

well done, I think personelly that weed can be great in many cases, but sometimes like all recreational drugs it might get a bit boring after a while and your mind and body might need a rest from all the excess stimulation.
