Finally found LSD, thought it was great, now this...
    #5650274 - 05/19/06 01:36 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I know that it is very regular for somebody to have anxiety attacks and develop certain forms of hppd after LSD use. I know that even at a low frequency of use, such as doing it only once (or 3 times in my case, first two times 1 blotter each, and the third time was three blotters, all from the same small white sheet), these symptoms can stay with the person for several months, or even years before going away completely. I have a slightly different question, though.

I had hppd since I was 19, I am 21 now. So I have had this for two years before using LSD (yes, I know how stupid that decision was), and I have anxiety attacks now too (unless I take the antidepressant supplement 5htp). Also though, I seem to have something that nobody else ever talks about. I have these tingling sensations over my body sometimes. It is like a fly lands on my skin for a few seconds at any random point, and many times at multiple points at once, and just walks around for a couple seconds, and then goes away. If I touch it then it just stops at the point of touch and starts somewhere else. It is exactly like that feeling you get sometimes that is feels like a small tiny invisible creature biting your skin, and then you must scratch it for a minute. I know every sane person does this, but for some reason I have been experiencing it at a much greater rate than before I tried LSD. It happens almost constantly for hours sometimes. It is very annoying and seems to agitate the anxiety attacks to start. I drank last night by myself because I felt depressed. I will also not being doing this anymore either, because now the symptoms of the tingling and anxiety are worse today than ever (first time I drank a lot since the trip, about 7 Smirnoff ices). I hear no fucking voices in my head at all, and didn't even while I was having my nightmarish final trip. However I do notice that sometimes while I am speaking certain words will get scrambled randomly, which never seemed to happen before, or at least a much lower frequency than it does now.

The third time I took LSD was my last trip ever on anything. That was two weeks ago now. I used to do ecstasy very infrequently, smoke weed and hash quite frequently, drink semi-frequently, mushrooms infrequently, and have experimented with coke, xanax, lorazepam, salvia (which gave me a panic attack a week after use) and several other drugs at an extremely low frequency. I am choosing to never do any drugs ever again except possibly drinking very small amounts and only with other people around.

So yes, I am thinking that the worst of my problems are most likely over, and that now all I need is a little bit of time stress relief in order to make all these symptoms go away. The truth is that I just can't find any similar experiences to mine. I have heard tons of stories of anxiety, hppd, and fucking voices, voices, voices. It is almost like I have hppd with my touch sensation. Is this even fucking possible?! Has anybody heard of this? Any advice other than going to a psychiatrist? If these symptoms get worse without any further agitation then I will for sure get some professional therapy. However I am the type of person that will be made to feel even more worse just by being in that the doctors office because then I imagine all the things that might be wrong. And yes, I have one of those almost limitless imaginations, maybe I got it from playing too many video games when I was younger. Now I am 21.

I don't get panic attacks, but I do get anxiety attacks. The first one I ever got was a week after I tried salvia for the first time, and I didn't get anymore for a very long time until I started smokig copiuos amounts of bc bud (I am currently in BC actually). I never had a problem with the mexican brick weed that I smoked in Florida, but that's probably because of the low potency. The shit I get up here is pretty killer stuff. I don't get it anymore though due to the increasing anxiety I was getting. I don't do any drugs anymore, and am very much limiting alcohol intake to just a drink or two every once in a while. I just started getting this tingling sensation after these few uses of LSD in the past month. I am never using this substance again also, but I still fel the body tingles and the anxiety atacks have started occuring once every few days or so. Any advice?

LSD is the only drug, well dxm too, that "felt" like it was damaging my brain. I'm all okay but I'll never use it again.

a friend of mine recently had his first trip with acid, dosing with four (relatively) strong gels. he loved it and kept asking about getting more until he started getting numbing sensations in his hands.

over the next few days his body has become "somewhat numb" and a little tingly. he said he can't feel the tips of his fingers at all, or the top of his head. it's been about ten days since he took them..

i find it hard to believe that those symptoms are directly related to lsd but that's only judging from my experiences with it. i've taken 20 of those same gels without any ill effect.

i know that he drinks A LOT, and the numbing started the morning after a night of heavy drinking.. but is it possible that lsd could be to blame? could toxins in the tabs have contributed? if so, why haven't i or anyone else (that i know) that's taken these gels developed similar symptoms?

Exercise will help equalize and repair the electrical energy you produce. Cardio is the best thing to do. A simple walk, swimming, or running.

Intense workouts like chinups and pushups can actually make the problem worse. I just deal with it because I love to workout.

Meditation can also help.

If you are getting weird energy sensations, though it may sound psuedo-sceincey, you might try reading about Chi or Kundalini. They have pretty accurately described some of the odd feelings I get in my body. Maybe you only now noticed something, or the psychological changes in your mind from the trip have change how you nervous system uses/distributes energy.

The fly feelings happen to me alot and I've never done acid. Usually when I am in the woods and 'expect' a mosquito to land on me I will feel it, but nothing is there. It happens alot when you go to sleep and I have heard that your brain actually uses these subtle hallucinations when you are getting sleepy to get you alert.

Anyways, even if what you feel is totally different than these things remember that it is only a sensation. There is no reason to be anxious about it. That is your own decision. Some people get by with severed limbs or horrible injuries. It's all in your attitude.

it's your chi.

drugs mess with it.

I don't know what advice to give you but chi oriented meditation might work. Taking a yoga class or a tai chi class or just reading up on chakra meditation online.

Someone else mentioned the top of the head.... I would imagine LSD might stimulate the crown....

so yeah. I can't help you but I can say it's normal even without doing drugs. Yesterday I felt way too much tingling in my fingers for a while for no good reason, having not done drugs in a month and a half or so. I also saw a lot of tracers in the dark, more detailed than usual

which I've seen ever since doing LSA pretty much.
