not sure how open-source this bb system is, so if it'll be possible to implement, but...

there should be a link for viewing all the new posts in a thread. normally you can just click the last page of the thread, but if there is more than one page of new posts, you either have to click 'view all' and wait for it to load, or try guessing what page the new posts start on (and i know, technically i could just memorize how many posts per page/divide by the number of pages - and thus find out where the new posts start, but i'm lazy and don't want to have to do that :grin: ).

so anyway, this link could go where the red number of new replies is. so it'd be like

Replies
39 (4)

with the (4) being a link to viewing those 4 posts.

again, not sure if this is possible with the BB system you guys are running here, but just a thought.

Hey,

Maybe I'm confused about what you're asking, but the BB should already take you directly to the first new post when you click on a thread. No need to guess a page, just click the thread's title and it should work. Is this not the case on your system?

There is an option in your prefrences that can disable this 'jump to first unread message', maybe thats the problem.
