is there anything i could have done when growing that whould effect the potency of the shroom? i grew some they where realy weak....thanks

did you dry properly before ingesting?
if you did not dry at all or did so improperly that could be the cause...

let them grow too long? you could have really big mushies that would have the same amt of psychoactive goodstuff as smaller shrooms if you'd have picked 'em earlier... a possibility anyway.

In my opinion, the time of harvest has the most effect on potency By no means wait untill the caps resemble flying saurcers waiting to have a print made. Many think that 'shrooms are the strongest before/as the caps break the veil from the stem.

I think Jammer was on the right track when he mentioned
harvest timing. Ive found that this can be the single most
important factor regarding potency.....other than the
initial strain thats being cultivated. Ive been told that
shrooms are at their peak potentcy just before the veil
breaks. And this seems to be fairly consistant with my
cultivation experience......Check it out!!!!!!

When it comes to potency, it's better to harvest just before the veil breaks from the stem than after.

Mushrooms do not lose potency when the veil tears. Instead, they stop producing psilocybin, meanwhile packing on more weight. They don't gain any more potency after the veil tears.
When the veil starts to give, the fruit is at peak of psilocybin production. At that point, you have a good balance between psychoactive ingredients and body mass.
The mushroom's indoles don't disintegrate when the veil tears. Pick 'em when ya want, but veil tearing should be your strongest indicator that the good 'ol twist and pull is at hand. Also, picking before the veil tears will prevent spore loads from hitting the casing. That'll make a second flush a snap.

Try using a better substrate what did you use brf/verm try using dung or birdseeds it requires a pressure cooker but you will get bigger fruits and more potent boomers.
