How to live w/o the beach?
    #4290415 - 06/13/05 08:48 AM (18 years, 10 months ago)

So I grew up by the beach. My family bonding moments consisted of going on our boat or a picnic at the beach. Nights revolved around sitting in the sand and staring up at the stars. It also consisted of running around naked in the moonlight. Surfing, wakeboarding, skimboarding... all of it.

So I have the ability to score a great job in Vermont. I've already lived there for a summer. LOVED it but really missed the beach and the ocean. Summer wasn't the same. Not at all.

My other option is to move to California. Where I don't have a job lined up but my resume is definately healthy enough to score some type of job out there.

I just think, how can anyone live in a landlock state?! Like, that's insane. Not to have the ocean. I think I would go insane.

I'm not big on the beach these days, what with the sand getting in every crevice of your body and all that. I could definitely go for some boating. For some reason I've grown out of swimming all together.

PS: Hey Del, who's lyrics are those in your signature. I like it.

Suck it up, sometimes you have to do things that you don't want to do to get somewhere in life.

ya... i've lived in Colorado w/ my ex for like 2 months. it was beautiful and the mountains took me away from missing the beach but it was still weird.

ah... vermont. i loved there i was living last summer. beautiful, clean, amazing. ack.

ya i like sand in my bikini. hehe. yesturday was amazing. i went out w/ my board. and we were sittin out there waiting for a wave. all of a sudden u see all the seaguls hovering above you... like 30 of them! then a second later i started getting knocked around off my board b/c the fuckin bluefish were all there. they are so damn big and SO MANY of them. whole crap...

i think that's what probably bit the kid in NJ.

Wouldnt doubt it. The seagulls tell you that the bate fish are in a school at the surface, soon behind them are the blue fish. Then below the blue fish come the striped bass.

The blues rip into the school leaving crippled fish to sink to the bottom where the stripers are. Both fish are know to eat so much that the food is literaly hanging out of there mouths.

God i love fishing.

I've never lived even close to the beach, but I love it when I can visit. I want to see the ocean again!

Come to ohio if you love the beach. We have nice long cold winters right here near Lake Erie and about 10 actual nice days to go in the water throughout the year. Yay
