dude,
my monkey is having great success with Organic Rye Grain cooked until a few ( no more! ) were split and they tasted nice to eat according to monkey, strained then run cool water over them to stop them cooking. Monkey got my coffee grounds out of the plunger and also some wet vermiculite mixed it all together and PC'd for about 45 minutes.

The results are great, Im NOT suggesting monkey using coffee is good, but the pre cooked grain adn verm has really taken off with B+. They slowed down at about 50% colonisation, but monkey wasnt keeping the air exchange high enough, after losening the lids a bit the mycelium over ran the rest of the grain overnight.

monkey likes grain, appears easier than BRF cakes and its tastier as you cook it, but eat it b4 you add the vermiculite
