Probably one of those liver enzyme deficiency things or a slow metabolism

Or at least that's my guess...I haven't taken DXM in a long time.
The first time I did it, I think I was on an SSRI, and the next morning I had a really bad nosebleed for about 10 minutes, but it was really weird and out of place feeling.

Do you think it has any potential entheogenic powers? Or is it just another drug to get high with?

everything and anything has potential entheogenic powers and everything has the posibility to be abused and have those properties ignored...

but yeah im thinking it has to be a liver thing. i had been drinking the last 2 nights and some of today and im sure that my liver is toodamn busy taking ceare of the alcahol for the dxm to be metabolised...

Oh yeah, alcohol potentiates DXM, so I think it must slow down the metabolism of it

i fucking hate DXM for that very reason. The buzz is not too fun by itself, but the 3-day fucking hangover is just unbearable.

It just turns me stupid for days. I'm unable to understand how anyone finds that feeling pleasurable, but people say they do...

Me neither. I got a buzz when I tried for the first (and last) time, but it didn't seem so pleasurable. Plus, it gave me a hellacious headache and I threw up all night long. What fun!

IME dxm lasts a while and after repetitive use it only gets longer. Although I have never felt alcohol has extended dxm.

BUT, I'm suprised you even knew what was going on at a 20mg dose of cough syrup.. I assume it wasn't for recreation but for a cough?
