What do you do at 12:30 besides video games and drugs if you aren't 21?

THis is bullshit. I'm so tired of this lifestyle. My whole life is escapism. I can't think of a good activty so I play an MMO or do some random drug, and it's fucking destroying my psyche. I can't stand it!

What od you people do? I can't go to a bar! WHAT? How do you entertain yourselves? How do you not go insane? This is fucking lame as hell. MY roomate fights me tooth and nail for change. He won't even walk around campus once with me just to see if there is anything going on.

Pure RESISTANCE To change. I took a walk, nothing was happening. But I tried god damnit. Fucking lame as hell.

Yep, i was going to suggest reading a good book.

Buy a book called "Catch-22 by Joseph Heller"

Its my favorite fiction (I used to read a lot).

hiking and the outdoors keeps me sane. go for a beer or something after work with your fellow workers. i keep an eye out for events that interest me. like plant sales, hike meets, talks etc. look for clubs and such for whatever interests you.

i ofund myself doign the same thing as you for a couple years back in highschool. just sat around did too many drugs and wasted away for a while. its a pretty depressing spiral.

it's the most depressing spiral I've ever gotten myself into. it's just pure dualistic escapism. It's either "twisted reality" or "Pure nonreality"

I have nothing else to do. School is pretty much over ,I don't have a car..I'm just playing MP3's and hitting refresh to talk to you guys. I need some cigarettes really bad.

You could
-work out
-go on a date with a fine girl you know  :stonedjerk:
-go for a hike
-go play some kind of sport (soccer for me)
-go meet new people (anywhere; mall,street,etc.)
-masturbate (ya soopax)
-read (ya trendal)
-build something
-draw
-create stuff on photoshop

Basically, just find something that interests you and go with it.  Good luck  :heart: :thumbup: :mushroom2:

That it is man.. bleh. Going through it myself right now.. Been out of H.S. for almost 2 years (this summer marking my second year) and my life has gone nowhere. I was heavy into drugs and very depressed for the first year and a half but then I became overwhelmed with anxiety. I have since gotten rid of the main demon in my life (blow) and am trying to get over my anxiety and depression. The only happy days I have are the days I have visitation with my little girl.

Going to a doctor soon to get on some meds for the anxiety/depression combo. Hopefully they help me help myself better than how things are going now.

Hey man look at it this way. Atleast you are doing somthing productive with your life. You are giving yourself too little credit here my brother. You are in college striving towards a degree. Nothing to do in your spare time can be fixed easily with a change of habit. :heart:

once the vice(s) are gone, just start puttering away at getting little stuff done. whether it be goign out once a week, visiting a family member, helping out a homless shelter, goign for a walk, or building somthing. that was teh first and best stap i took was jsut finding little not necesarily important shit to putter with. things that jsut take your head places and let you think of nothing. aka relaxation.

as fun as drugs can be, breaks can often be a VERY mandatory refresher.

glad your off the blow matt. that after depression is the fricken worst! good to be gone.

True that man. This summer marks my 2nd year too and i've done shit with my life. All I've done is had a few fun experiences with psychedelics and some not-fun experiences with LSA. MDMA was a great time but poor afterwar. I have made no friends since I've been at my college. None. The only people I know are people that I hang out with while I'm getting fucked up.

I want some sober friends =( Druggies are only half the spectrum of life. Billions of people live happy sober lives and I don't know any.
